Why make us wait so much?

Hello, I've recently started playing CoC about a month ago, and I've always wondered why the game is made so that you have to wait so long for everthing?
Why don't you want your players to be able to sit and play for hours, instead of waiting 30 minutes for your troops and hours for your hero's to be made just to get 1 raid then wait another couple of hours to raid again?
or how you play so much in 1 day to get some loot to get that next big upgrade, only to be rewarded with a 14 day wait for the upgrade to finish.

Can someone explain why the game is set up like this, I understand it'd be too easy to max without this but I don't think it should take that long to be able to get attack other bases etc.

    feedback's appreciated!

PS- I know if your rich and have nothing better to spend money on then you can pay really high prices for gems to get the easy way out

It's just part of the game. Be patient, live better. That's not walmart.

The way I look at CoC is as an app.

It's a distraction and time-killer for when you just want to play with your phone.

the wait times are necessary for various reasons but from just a gaming and psychological standpoint, if they're too long I recommend playing other games in the meantime.

If you can get into other app games you won't even notice.

In the long run you'll thank them for it taking so long. Would you really enjoy a game that it takes only a few weeks to max out?

How is the answer not obvious?

    It's for profit.

You sound like a very impatient individual, just the type of player SC likes to prey upon.

If you win the game in 1 month (th10 maxed), most people would skip the game and that's all. Where is the profit?

If you got money, of course you can keep raid after raid. Its all about money. They aint doing charity.
