I wrote an article about this exact topic on my blog right here. I rushed from Town Hall 5 to 7 without ever working on TH6 upgrades, so I speak from experience.

Honestly, I rushed my th7 and have no regrets. Almost maxed th8 now.
Noooo, don't rush your TH7 to TH8, max it first.
My friend told me to, and i regret it. Loot is worse, and I'm still working on maxing TH8.
There is no point in rushing your th.. Just max your defenses, it isn't that hard..
Nope, you'll end up asking for nerfs on this very board.
no, rush it. there is no advantage at th7, once u max out ur camps and basic troops, and maybe, get walls lvl 7, there is no need to stay.

There are 10 types of people. Those who know binary and those who don't.
I fully maxed out my TH7 before moving to TH8, and had fun doing so. I don't see why people want to "rush" to the next TH. Pretty sure I was killing it farming with pure goblins and a handful of wall breakers back then!
i beleive in maxing, clearly the room is divided here, but i maxed th6 my th 7 will be done tomarrow and i will max that. Its how i want to play the game, there really isnt a right or wrong decision here. so honestly its up to you. it might be harder to jump right into th8 but if thats what you want to do then you wont be handicapped forever eventually ull catch up and be on an even playing field. this game clearly isnt made to be rushed through. ive been playing since march and haven't spend a dime one gems, have 4 builders and 1300/1450 trophie range which is just right for a 6 i feel.
