Any tips for pushing to Champion league?

I'm ready, it's time. I am a TH10 working through the final levels of defense upgrades and want to make the run to Champion league. I prefer looting in the low crystal league, and still have a ton of walls and may hero levels to upgrade, so want to do this as profitably as possible. (i.e. GoWiWi / GoWiPe that cost 3k+ dark / attack is out, elixir isn't needed anymore, so ok going big there, but I prefer faster attacks)

My current strategy is to let my defense be the primary driver to deliver trophies. Here's my current thoughts
    - I don't want to put storages outside just yet slowing growth but may do that when not too costly
    - Top trick - keeping tombstones out to try and trick people to attacking
    - Selective attacking - but this is tough as one loss ~= 3 one star wins and less loot. I really just am treading water really it seems.

So, with these constraints, this is going super slow.. Anyone have other tips / tricks on how to hit Champ? Any cheaper army compositions people like?

Thanks! Also, in a few weeks will look to move to a top 100 clan - any recommendations?

You could barch early on, then once that becomes less successful move on to the more expensive raids. GoWiPe isn't as expensive as GoWiWi in terms of DE though.
