I am a new TH9. Not having huge problems with the loot. Barching in G2 and G1.
You will notice the difference but you will get use to it. I still find plenty of collector raids or plump TH8's. I upgraded giants as my first lvl 6 upgrade and it was a huge boost for raiding/clan wars. Hairy backs are like energizer bunnies they just keep chugging along slowly taking a beating.
I did bloons second to lvl 6 and bloonion is really nice for lazy farming.
