Storm Hammer is a semi-serious adult clan based in the EST time zone. Our focus is clan wars. Up until recently, we were a 15+ member clan, participating in the 15v15 clan war bracket. In that bracket, we are 38-1-0. After losing some members, we dropped down into the 10v10 bracket for a short time where we were 7-0-0 (undefeated). After a period of recruiting, we've been able to increase our numbers to compete in the 20v20 bracket where we are 10-0-1. We are hoping to add a few more reliable players to pad our numbers against vacation time and random inactivity.
We are not mass recruiting anybody and do have expectations for our new recruits. While we do not have requirements for village level, troop donations/trophy count, etc., but we do take clan wars seriously and winning in clan wars requires decent knowledge of the game mechanics regardless of village/trophy level. Outside of wars, clan members are free to play the game in any fashion they wish (farm, trophy push, whatever). But during wars, clan members are expected to pull their weight based on the strength of their own village. To evaluate recruits in this regard, we will be using the following questions. If you are a semi-serious adult player who enjoys clan wars and is looking to help boost a smaller, semi-serious clan, PM me with your answers to the following questions. Attempting to join our clan without answering these questions will get you nowhere (you will be rejected until you've answered the questions):
Name/Clan
What is your in-game name?
Rohat
Are you in a clan now? If yes, please provide the name.
No
Activity Level
Are you an adult?
No, but a very mature 15yr old
How often do you raid?
When I have a goal set, usually 3-5 times a day.
Can you manage 3 wars per week, using both attacks for every war?
Yes
Can you afford to donate frequently?
Yes
What types of units do you generally request for general farming?
Archers and minions
Do you post replays?
Yes I do and ask for feedback
Do you watch replays?
Yes
Do you read clan chat? This is an especially important question - clan wars require high level of activity/communication on battle days. You should be able to communicate what village you intend to attack on battle day and approximately when. A lack of ample communication on battle day will result in being removed from the clan (regardless of war performance).
I read it as much as I can. I am in school so I might not be online during a specific time but otherwise I'm always online.
Are you likely to leave for another clan? If yes, explain. Please understand that this is a smaller clan at this time, so activity level may not match a bigger clan. If this does not suit your interests, please look elsewhere.
If I see that it's getting hard for me to keep up with chat because I am in school so I might miss out, then maybe because otherwise it will be bad for the clan.
Attack Level
Do you have a reliable farming army/strategy? Please describe.
Yes, I like to use a little bit of everything and it has worked out amazingly by now. I am upgrading troops and buildings like never before. I recently started upgrading my dragons to lvl 2 in th7.
Can you reliably acquire 1-2 stars against villages equal to your village level? For example, if your village is a near-max TH9 (double level 3 xbows, etc.), can you reliably acquire 1-2 stars against a near-max TH9 village? If your village is a new TH10 (1-2 level 1 inferno towers), can you reliably acquire 1-2 stars against a new TH10 village? Can you reliably acquire 3 stars against weaker villages?
If I use really serious but expensive troops then yes but sometimes if I'm just going for gold and elixir then maybe only one star sometimes 0 but a lot of resources
Clan Wars
Do you understand clan war dynamics? For example, if you were our clan’s top village, what do you think your responsibility would be in a clan war? If you were at the bottom? Middle?
Yes, I have a lot of experiences for this and I'm really good at this. I always attack my own number usually, depending on the situation.
Do you know how to tailor your army for clan wars? What is your main attack strategy for clan wars?
I usually go dragons and some wizards but sometimes I do a big hog attack If the base is good for hog attacks.
Can you afford to train the best possible army for your attacks for every war? For example, if your best war army costs 250000 elixir to train, can you afford paying for that twice per war?
Yea!
Are you willing to train your most expensive army to win an attack to acquire stars for the clan (while possibly losing resources)?
Yes!
General
Are you open to suggestions about strategies and execution?
Of course!
Do you frequently challenge yourself by experimenting with new army compositions or by attacking villages outside of your comfort zone?
If I notice my old strategy isn't working I notice something's not good enough so I change around stuff.
Your answers to the above questions may earn you initial acceptance into our clan. However, we will require you to post replays of recent attacks against equal-level villages to evaluate whether or not to include you in our next war. If it was not obvious already, we take recruiting somewhat seriously. If you are not truly interested, please do not waste your time or ours.
Please note that there are a number of clan members who are IRL friends of existing clan members. Some of these players are at lower activity, skill, and experience levels. Please understand that since you are a stranger to us, you will be held at a higher standard than some of these players. We've been successful despite their lower activity/skill; however, we cannot afford to have new recruits like them. We expect you to be better, but we also expect you to tolerate them (as our better players have done for the life of the clan). Your recruitment bears no relation to their status, nor does their performance have any relation to your status.
