I used to back in my Pixlr days but I've never had one of those errors. I'm sure you can just erase it or use a layer mask to mask it out. You can also try making your own text with the pre-loaded Text tool. It's there for a reason y'know

All you do is click anywhere with your text tool, write something in white, and then use layer effects to make it look cool. Then position and resize

Text effects are very easy, try watching some youtube vids. Using the premade fonts should be a last resort.
