Good day everyone. I joined the forums a month or 2 and I've been scanning and reviewing bases here. Currently I am a mid TH8 having decent upgrades on both defense and offense. And in every MMORTS I play base building is my most favorite thing to do. I have worked on a few base designs on TH7, which I posted a while ago. And used a few base designs from our fellow Chiefs. (Thank you Avernicus)
I would like to present you my Base Series; Monster Rampage
Starting with the Lernaean Hydra. The Heads of Death!
Now to start dissecting this Multi-headed beast
THE HEAD!
The head consist of 2 varying formations.
This head presents a nice pathing and placement for giants, a little treat for goblins, and devastating explosion for Barch and other mortals who tend to shoot over to its neck
The othere variation of the head is a little more vulnerable to looting attacks but is unreachable by ranged weapon wielding mortals other than the Queen, the Teslas (with one giant bomb on the other side) offers a nice path for Giants to wander away from the weak spot of the beast.
Overall the Head is just meant to get destroyed as the real potential of the Hydra will be unleashed when all of his heads are out.
THE NECK AND THE STOMACH~!
The sweet spot with triangular splash defense, a well covered AD, properly placed traps, and a trapped King will kill whoever dares to enter the mouth of the beast.

Walls and Trap Placement
Ups:
- Symmetrical base
- Overall very good trap placement. Prevents lone giants from springing them prematurely.
- Giant bombs well protected within base. Deadly for barch comps.
- Good air def coverage.
- Triangulated splash defenses
Downs:
- Storages rather close together.
- Vault core is a prime target for most attackers.(FIXED)
