Data Hygiene Please – Time to do a bit of housekeeping with inactive clans

Lol, Dude Really?... you might have noticed the " Clash of ...." wait for it ..."Clans". by definition that means a group, that is. more than one.

I for one like being in a clan on my own (I'm not currently) but this is something I do when I go away, which means I'll be inactive for about 3/4 weeks. Ok, yes I don't mind if the clan gets destroyed, but some people create a clan in the hope it gets bigger, they hire a couple of co's, go on holiday, and when they come back, the clan is gone because of a little bit of drama.

This system wouldn't work.

Also, don't criticise another persons comment. He gave his view. And it was accurate.

Yeah fair enough i did have a bit if a go...my bad.. ( i personally would either just leave or join a farming clan). I still think we need a good cleanup and mechanisms to keep the environment in a healthy state.

If you are going away, what difference does it make if you are in a one man clan or not? Being on your own without a clan is the same exact thing.

Wrong! In a one-man clan you have 40k less gold

I do use the1 man clan every now and then during holidays as well, so I don't like the idea presented.
However, I do agree the searching results sometimes displays a lot of those.

I think a better solution would be to add a filter to the clan search.

As a compromise maybe make the inactive timespan 6 weeks (that should cater for 95% of all holidays). What about the guys that are inactive for over a year in a one man clan, i dont think its reasonable to say we should keep it open?. it adds no value to the game as a whole. All it is doing is clogging the system for ETERNITY and degrading the finding experience.At some point you have to draw the line?

*And again, if you come back from holiday or a long absence and your clan has being deleted and you want another one, simply create one. You will get raided regardless if you are in a clan or not, and its easy to spot an inactive. Full pumps, overgrown, out of ammo, tombstones etc
