The purpose of playing clash of clans

My coc goal is to see how far I can get without gemming apart from builders. And once I can't go any further ill restart the game and play it all again.

I kinda find the game a bit frustrating at times--the painstaking hours, the constant management of the clan, the ups and downs. come on, it's not all rosy.

I enjoy the game, or at least that's what I tell myself. I mean, why would I play if I didn't enjoy it, right? I mean, that's the unspoken logic, right--that we wouldn't be playing if we didn't enjoy it. I think the will to get ahead and push farther than most has sorta made enjoyment take a backseat. I just don't know if enjoyment is what keeps me coming back...it takes more hours than I wanna put in to keep the pace I keep. I think my leveling up and knowing that I continue to go farther than before and knowing that im making ground on those ahead continue to drive me more than the glimmer of enjoyment that sneaks in on occasion.

To start all over again...omg, not knowing the months it'll take to get there. Geez.

Edited to add: I just remembered that I enjoy having the resources I need when builders become available. That, I like, lol.

Why do people aspire to be number one in a MASSIVE multiplayer online game?

It's probably more difficult than representing your country in the Olympics.

make more fun of this game, if not u may lost lots and lots players have coc dream and poor.
They will give up, i was attacking at 1600 - 1900 i can got good money from someone who not play this game a long time and they have lvl11 collectors and mines no dark

I have to agree that at times it is hard to see the purpose of the game.

Supercell should try harder to make it more exciting, maybe by giving us the possibility of creating our own mini competitions or so.

Let's just hope the upcoming update with the leagues can help us out. If not, then yes, this game is just a mindless and endless farming game with no endgame.

I find there is no purpose for this game, your all fighting for the one thing to become number one, but what is the actuality of that happening? Supercell, why dont you create events or mini games where some other clans actually have a shot at achieving them? Like most raids? Most wins as a clan? Most lost as a clan? Why not actually do clan wars? where we can compete with each other? All of this would make the game have so much more purpose. The only reason for this game is to just keep leveling up and spending money on it... Other then that, its just watching your village... I started to lose joy in wining battles now because i just figured its for nothing anyways...

Supercell, instead of having updates where you force us to spend more money by adding new troops or town-halls why not actually make the game more fun?! by adding events and goals that clans could compete for? Why not actually add a clan war system?

thx for ur support, i start this game from last july and now i feel lost motivation to continue play this game. i try to find some fun of this game, and i tell to my clanmate first fully upgrade then try higher, as high as u can do(not use gem)

The purpose of any game is to enjoy yourself while wasting time, if the only purpose of the game is win then it's not a game.

Explained: for there to be a single winner there has to be a "not winner" or loser or whatever you wish to call it. Therefore the result is not the purpose of the game the purpose of the game is to simply play, because a game is frivolous (the results are are not of substance merely for bragging rights , glory a title, honor or whatever).

If you make the result have substance and of significant importance and the reward needed for more than that then it is no longer a game.

Therefore as long as you are having fun playing this game by spending your time on it, the purpose is true to that of a game, and if you wish to spend or not spend your money on it who is judge, Supercell has provided a game that people enjoy and yes they make money out of it, why shouldn't they, they provide the service that they attest to provide and you are not forced to play. Truly if you are not having fun, you are doing it wrong.

I honestly dont care about rank in game, i play because i have a laugh in the clan and i would like to be able to say i maxed everything out with only buying builders and nothing else.

u r an neutral critic, and i like ur comments. y i write this, i want to satirize there r lots of players addicted in this game. because at first they put some money in this game, and they see the benefit. then they spend a lot, problems r coming. They dont want quit, but they cannot got enough money from their parents. thus they stay at a gray zone.
i want notice some younger players the consequence of playing this game without having enough money to support
