Use another app to communicate.
I like Kik, but wechat or groupme is good for more people in a group chat
Also this idea is rules out which I support, all other communication should be done in the clan chat and discussed openly with clan.

The kid's nonsense babble is too much for serious chat.
The clan mail once per day is too slow.
"Use an external app" is a workaround, an indicator of missing functionality. No, I do not want people in CoC to find me elsewhere.

*Add other clan requirements to apply besides trophies, ex: Specific troop lvl, TH lvl, lab lvl, game lvl
*Customizable clan flag
*Add ability to send short message to rejected applicants similar to when expelling
*A large text area for clan rules that just the clan can see (separate from public clan description)
*Make the public clan description text area larger
*Leader (and co-leaders) ability to delete messages in chat
*Modify clan msg of player joining with who invited player: xx joined clan, invited by xx
*Add clan rank to Clan Info Screen – Quicker to reference than scrolling to end of top 200 list
*Increase clan size: 75 or 100 are most common requests
* Separate Elder+ chat tab in-game

"For the time being". That clause amounts to a negation of "ruled out". Whoever rules this forum should learn Effective communication.
An an old idea, which can't be implemented "for the time being" may be increasingly needed. How are you supposed to communicate these needs and desired except by mentioning.
The so-called list of things "ruled out" needs to be better defined. Which ones are definitely ruled out for all time, and which are just not coming soon?
Also, the work "stickies" should be deprecated for something more meaningful to newcomers.
