Yeah in my CW people are still using Hogs and wrecking TH9 bases, I have no clue what you're talking about. They take more skill to use now but some players who have less experience and skill take that as SC killing Hogs, which they didn't do by any means, they made them much more fair. Now on the subject of the update, what's wrong is not the Hogs, but the heroes. Lol

The giant bombs now targeting hog riders as a favourite target is most certainly a nerf. At the very least an indirect nerf. It is also good to see that you are using the hogs and still managing to 3 star. Were those anti hog bases, regular bases, or just freebie wins?Originally Posted by enOehT

People who complain about hogs are looking at this all wrong.
Hogriders are a high-risk-high-reward type troop where you have a chance to be very successful (AKA 3-star) OR fail completely with one wrong move. The nature of the troop composition are unlike those heavy hitters, GoWiPe/GoWiWi/MassDras, where you are allow more room for errors and can get 2-star easily (or 1-star if you screw up a bit but not too much) but hard to 3-star a strong base.
As it stood before the update, the risks were too low and the rewards were too high. That's not how it's supposed to be with relatively cheap troop with fast training time. So, they balanced that out a bit and I think it was a good call. Now it really is a high-risk-high-reward as meant to be. You can still dominate with hogs but you need to come up with better strategy. I, for one, think this change will bring a much needed diversity to the game. I'm bored with people attacking with hogs all the time in Clan Wars and more importantly, bored of those anti-hog bases that look almost exactly the same. Have you ever seen a 40 people clan that only have 3-4 base designs? I did. And I hope that'd change soon.

For us it's half gowiwi half hogs, hogs are pointless vs TH10 unless you're an amazing raider. But my clannies with antihog bases still get two and three starred because it's hard to protect bombs enough so they don't get "lured" and the heroes just aren't strong enough.

Whining about SC listen to whiners that whines about hog being op. Whining about whiners that dont want to adapt to hog attacks. Whining when you have to adapt to changes.

The farthest I made it with hogs is 2969. It does take skill up there against maxed bases and dual infernos set to multi. I couldnt even make it to 3,000 with them. But I've gotten pretty good with Gowipe. Now that I have lvl 5 Pekkas, lvl 6 wizards, and lvl 5 golemns it will be fun next trophy push.
