    What Killed the Hog Riders!!!

    Before this update we had people complaining about "Hog Wars" and rightly so, as Hog Riders was overused in Clan Wars. But this update was completely unnecessary.

    Now they are completely unusable against Anti-Hog Base. People who complain about them are those that don't know how to play the game, why should the rest of the players suffer for that?

    Lets look at SC actions that has killed the Hog Riders:
    • Multi Mode Inferno Towers: This mode is only introduced to counter the Hog Riders. Lets be honest, why else would they make Heal Spell useless against it?
    • Increased cost of Hog Rider: If you remember, while back SC increased the cost of Hog Riders. Many may not think this as a nerf but I do, as I am someone who dislikes wasting tons of rare resources. I don't know what SC was thinking exactly but if I had to guess, it would be to make more money.
    • Upgradable Traps: This meant Exploding Bombs are much more stronger and better at dealing with Hog Riders. Which is a good thing, best update dealign with Hogs.
    • Exploding Bombs favourite target is now Hog Riders: This is the final nail in the coffin.
    • Heroes cannot be lured: Now Heroes will take down several Hog Riders.


    The update that was unnecessary is the Increased cost of Hog Rider and Making Hog Riders the favourite target for Explosive Bombs.

    SC, why couldn't you just give TH8 and TH9 the extra level for Explosive Bombs. That would have been enough to help them deal with Hogs. You constantly been nerfing the Hog Riders ever since YOU made them target the defenses. How many more nerfs do they need before they are completely unusable? Whats wrong with them being used the most? What is wrong with that? Hog Riders are everyone's favourite troops, whats wrong with that? What is the need to constantly nerf everyone's favourite troops.

    Hogs are still very viable, just riskier.

    Hogs can still take on unaware TH9's on down. Which there are tens of thousands of those. Why should hogs not be affected by Big Bombs? More so when they are lvl 3 and 4? That's how it was before the update. A simple heal dropped and it's like they just keep plowing ones base.
    Hard to play when SO many don't fairly.

    I am not saying they shouldn't be, what I am saying it is that with this update they killed the Hog Riders because Explosive Bombs favourite target is now Hog Riders, meaning they do extra damage just to this particular troops.

    why should giant bombs doing all the work? why not the defense, defense unit arent matter anymore, lvl 1 defense and two pairs of double giant bombs is set to defend hog well, and you know healing isn't working against the double giant bombs,it's instant kill

    On the leaderboards, people learned how to three star max bases with hogs. Does that make any sense? No. So they had to counter them. And making an anti-hog base makes it more vulnerable againts other armies.

    even before this update all you needed is anti hog base with twio giant bombs and a wiz tower to finish them off that was ussless especialy since heroes are unlurable

    + they nerfed hogs 3 times health dmg ECt...
    Their dead to me i prefer jump spell + giants or peka

    Did you ever try troophyy pushing with hogs to 2800 cups? It takes skills , and its not my fault if ur heroes are easy to lure and cc an d ur base isn t anti hog + in my opinion anti hog bases are the best base for every troop you just have to find yours hogs never needed nerf gj sc you killed hogs

    Hogs are now similar to how Valks used to be, bad on their own, but good if used well. If the placement is bad and it's on a good anti-hog base, hogs are useless; the battle ends in a couple of seconds. But if used well, they can still wipe out a base. I agree that the nerf was too much, but you have to adapt to it.

    The fact such a thing as an anti hog base existing should point to the issue, they were so powerful bases were designed to try and stem then - hogs could still rip those bases apart.

    There's no such thing as an anti witch base or anti Dragon base - hogs are still viable just not guaranteed any more
