    In-House Clan Sparring!

The idea is to have a function whereby a player may send a request to his fellow clan members, to invite them to attack their base.

The rules are exactly the same as usual (as if you're attacking a stranger's base), however some new rules apply:

    • No matter how much damage you deal, no shield will be activated.
    • No matter how much gold/elixir you steal, it will all be returned (but the amount of resource you COULD have stole will still be available at the end)
    • You still lose the units used for the attack.
    • Dead units do not return elixir to the team mate.

The obvious rationale behind the rules are to prevent abuse of the system. This is not meant to be a method to transfer resource to your teammate, it is merely an in-house sparring to test the offensive/defensive prowess, at your own risk.

I believe this would be an excellent way to encourage in-clan activities, a fun way to test and expose flaws of your friend's base, with no potential issue of abuse.

I have always wanted the idea to raid your friend's bases. There could be a little tournament set up and the winner could receive Elder status for the week or something. It would be a great new feature to add to clans!

I just created an account to post this very idea, so I guess you could say that I wholeheartedly agree. I would change two things, however. First, I think it should be a simple toggle you can switch on and off. If it's on, your base is open to get 'practiced' on, and you are open to 'practice' on any other clan mates who are also toggled on. This way you can use this to try out new strategies and troop combos, as well. Secondly, as there would be no reward for the attacker (and no loss to the attackee), I don't think there should be an elixir cost to the troops that you use (you simply don't lose the troops after the fight), as it otherwise might serve to discourage people from using the feature.

As for how Clan Castles would work in this scenario, I am undecided as to whether they should be active or not.

This is a great idea and I've always wanted to attack my friends base just for bragging rights. I agree with all the things said. There could be a separate replay tab for replays of your friends attacks and a ranking inside your clan that shows your record or something.

I agree 100%.... I think the game could be much more socially interactive and sparring with friends and clan mates would be awesome! Even allowing players to challenge one another would be good if they didn't want people to outright attack their friends for some reason. If you challenged someone it would be a mutual agreement that each of you think you have a chance at leveling the others base.

My opinion is that units must have a cost, it is your choice to test your team against a friend, and not to raid, so the units must be lost.

As for how the function works, I imagine it would work like this:

1.you press on a button found at the clan castle named INVITE TO SPAR.

    2. Clan list appears, you select a clan mate to invite into your base.

    3. Clan mate may accept or decline to spar (msg appears on msg panel), if he accepts, he enters your base, with 30 second count down (as per normal raid).

Clan castle needs to work for it to be a valid battle, considering how key the building is to many defenses.

This is a good idea too, to have a score board on a clan board or something. Would be nice if the clan could view the replays too, as a form of tutorial.

Yes, this is a good idea. I really wish they would implement it.

Great idea. I would like to see if anyone could 3 star my base in my clan or get to my loot. It would be great practicing attack strategies. There should be a board where you choose what troops you want and they train instant and no price. But you can only use them in raiding clan members. The only troops you have are the ones you have unlocked and the lvl they are. Also you would only get however many troop spaces you have to fit the troops. Because it would be useless if you we're a lvl 10 who just built a castle attacking with 11 lvl 3 drags when your not even clase to having them.

    Lightbulb What an idea

Great idea I think the troops should be instant train kept in the clan castle and if the person is upgrading the upgrade needs to be stopped so that there is no cheating eg. A mortar is upgrading to level 6 but the attackee faces it no upgrade in progress so it is level five if it was still upgrading 115 troops would destroy the base
Great idea I totally agree admin please consider this in the next update
