Skull walls almost completed, but defenses not

I'm going to finish my walls well before I finish maxing out my defense. Should I stay at Town hall eight and farm for dark elixir and try to max my dark troops and barbarian king? I feel like that would be a waste because it's easier to get dark elixir as a town hall nine with an extra drill.


My hog riders are level 3, minions are level 2.

My archer towers are all level 8 and 9. Max is 10
None of my teslas are level 6, which takes 12 days
All three air defenses are level 5, one level short of max. Those take another 8 days.

personally i would stick it out a little longer, but i wouldnt wait to max everything. finish maxing structures, and then move on to th9

Just go to TH 9, I was in exactly the same situation. Had maxed the walls but was way behind on cannons, ATs and teslas but went to TH 9 and have never regretted it! The offensive boost you get is amazing and TH 8 bases will be a walk in the park pretty much!

Should i farm for the dark elixir while it's upgrading and get the queen as soon as I hit th9? Or since it's easier at the higher town hall, just wait till after i upgrade the town hall to save up and get the queen.

I'm asking because as soon as I start getting around 30,000 dark elixir, I get hit hard.

the most I regret is while I wasted my time sit with maxed walls trying to max TH7 for almost a month.
luckily I didn't finish it, I go to TH8 earlier and that's the very nice decision.

I hit the same condition again on TH8 to TH9 transition, I just hit the upgrade button after maxed skulls even just with lv.7 AT/Cannon and lv.1 Tesla. Well thats best decision...

AQ and Lv.6 troops really rocks...

just start to farm 40K DE for AQ, you should get her instantly once yout TH9 finished

I think you're pretty much good to go. That set of skulls keeps a lot of people away.

By the way, level 6 teslas are 10 days now.

I finished my skull walls fast too (in 3 weeks and some days), and I'm sticking to TH 8 to finish my defenses.
My mortars and wizard towers are maxed, my last AD will be maxed in 6 hours, all the archer towers are lvl 9, cannons are lvl 8 and 1 lvl 7, and 2 of my Teslas are lvl 3 and 1 lvl 4.
