The Cogwheel - TH9 Anti Hog/Balloonian Farming Base

I've been using this variant for a couple of weeks now and it's performed well. I farm between 1900 and 1600, mostly between 1700-1800.

just got attacked with 5 lvl 5 hogs, 11 lvl 6 giants, 5 lvl 6 wb, 30 lvl 6 gobs, 108 lvl 6 archers and 3 lvl 6 wiz. walked away with 13k gold, (had 384k total) and 86k elixir (storages maxed) and 108 dark. got that bc he lightened me at the end. probably bc he was ♥♥♥♥♥♥

Extremely creative! I would be pretty scared attacking that altered design. I noticed a lot of the traps were uniquely places, I'm guessing for war that's quite good as there's no "guessing" of trap locations based on what is on the other sides. I like!

Fresh th9 here, one week actually, got my first xbow finished few hours ago. I'm using the last alteration variant because it looks scarier and I have to say it does nice. I was in crystal for a moment and a guy 3 star me with 28 hogs and wiz and stuff, stole 320k gold and it takes 80k to rearm, but still, fresh th9 and lvl 5 hogs -.-
the base looks nice and Imma keep using it.

As odd as it sounds, I'm really going to suggest against using it until you have a maxed core. It's very weak without a strong core and even then, I'm leaning back towards a larger core. However, I'm a bit surprised that the hogs didn't get stopped with the double bomb locations though. How were they deployed that they were able to 3 star you? Do you have your DB maxed out? Are your defences maxed for TH8?

Forgot t mention I am 1 xbows down ( upgrading to lvl 3 other is lvl 2) AQ was in middle but sleeping

i want to use this base but my xbows are level 1, it would take a long time to get them to 3 so this is what im thinking
i will upgrade 2 archer towers to lv11 and use them in the core, they have the same dps as lv3 xbows but only 1 less tile range, that way i can use the base earlier, im currently running ringus

any thoughts would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance

full army again giants and lvl 5 wizards. got 89k elixir 7k gold. lightened de storage again bc they probably got mad. this time i have max elixir storages showing 1k de and 330k gold. 1 xbow is upgrading and the aq and bk were bothing sleeping.

they also brought there bk and aq. 2 healing spells also

also used 4 wb and broke the wall leading to the funnel. giants splts 2 ways. half went through were the tesla is and 3 bounced out others died. the rest went through the broken wall set off the 2 gb and got shot at by my xbow and wiz tower. i swapped my wiz towers and mortars and worked well.
