I'm glad your edits are working out well for you! I always recommend to change it up to see what works best. Personally, I really find it's important to keep defenses outside of the ring of non defenses as from the top as well as having staggered junctions throughout.
Visiting the base, the CC can be lured out at the bottom with any troop to the bottom archer towers, wall breakers or goblins from the bottom.
However, I do encourage for anyone to customize the base and make it their own and post them! Hopefully this is more of just an initial framework to build from. Check out Pham's edits though as I think he has some fantastic ideas so far too. I must admit my knowledge of trophy bases is quite limited as I only had 88 defensive wins ever prior to last week (mostly due to sub 200 farming and lightning on DE) so any thoughts, ideas, suggestions to improve it is always appreciated.

Hi, i was wondering moonsabre, what will be the ultimate trophy base variant of your layout cuz i've seen a lot in here and still havent decide it.

Great to hear! The funnels closed off in part was just to an observation I had with gowipe and balloonian (with heroes coming in after). I just wanted a few extra walls to make them break through to get to the core. Most of my group gets attacked with balloonian or gowipe lately and it's been working fairly well as long as the loons stay below 28. One of my clannies (queen upgrading as well as no CC troops) got 100% from th10 with 39 loons/40 minions and level 20 heroes but other than that, it's done well enough to protect loot.
This is my current setup in case you are interested:
A few changes you may notice there are the walls in the corners are fully pushed out so that the tesla is one notch in front of the archer tower. It helps direct loons there as well as gives that extra "pause" when the tesla pops up. With the seeking air mine there, it has taken 4 loons to take out each archer tower so for those surgical attacks, we frequently see 2 loons dropped, seeking air mine hits 1s, tesla pops up, archer tower takes out the second before it gets to the tesla so it's more of the surprise factor that has been doing well vs the standard 20-28 loon armies.
I also moved some of the traps into the corners between defenses just to trim off giants.
My clannie in c3 gets some interesting attacks (note the tesla position is moved to the original mid areas instead of the corners:
The wave of minions go cleared out at the end with the air mines, I was however a bit surprised to see 3 lightning on the air defense here:

BTW, sent you a PM previously, didn't realize you posted here too. I would NOT recommend the trophy design, I don't think it's an effective design to protect for trophies, there should be many other base designs that are much better for that purpose. I do think that a larger core after seeing a lot of replays is important.

wow mate, when i saw the title a week ago, I was like: making a th9 base anti-loon is just dumb cause it's the best strategy for niners, what an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ( :P). so i completely ignored the thread.
but today I decided to check out the thread and got amazed by the original and epic design!
going to test it out right now. totally regret not looking at the thread 10/10!

Bump. Best townhall 9 base out now overall IMO. Currently pushing with this im at 2525 cups and I'm using Pham's version 2.0
I can't WAIT to drop next weekend and see how it does with the original farming version i didnt get to try yet :/
The attacks up are are heavy, lol, though nobody has 2 starred me and i win 50/50 on defense, you know, wait to get attacked, you dont, then fall asleep, get attacked, win, then lose the next cuz empty cc :/

But overall i am pleased. I did get my townhall destroyed only once, but he got 49% so held him to one star, this was a GoWiWi attack and he had L18Bk in rage that broke through and wiped the core. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥...

No worries! It still gets 2 starred (farming version) by smart balloonian players but at least helps protect the loot. I find it's just more of a way to play with what attackers are "used" to when attacking.
Very cool! Pham is the man! The collaboration is always fun. I will have to give it a try but seeing loot get taken away isn't always fun as a farmer. Up higher, I just didn't bother keeping a trophy base just to get that quick snipe rather than winning a defense, losing the next. My clannie who has a non-maxed base seems to get attacked a LOT. One issue I have to consider though is the jump spell as the walls being close together does allow easier access to the DE after just breaching one wall. In part, with farming, I think Pham's idea of having the tesla inside will probably be safer:
Freeze + Jump gave enough time for the pekka to destroy the DE storage.
