[Food for Thought] For TH8ers out there that are maxing out before going on to TH9

Currently updating my planner before hitting TH9,

May I know are you guys including Barracks as well as Dark Barracks into your list of "Buildings to max before moving to TH9" ?

My clannie pointed out to me that although the current 3 DE troop might not be much, but in the future when useful DE troops that is going to be release, it will be easier to get them from upgrading Lv3 Dark Barrack instead of Lv1 Dark Barracks, less "pain" will be felt since you already have Lv3 instead of just Lv1.

Not to mention if Dark troops like golem can really replace giants, then working with 6 Barracks will definitely be more efficient than working with 4 Barracks.

Well my TH 9 upgrade finished last night, and I have two barracks at level 10 and two at level 9. My dark barracks are at levels 2 and 3. I considered these high enough for me to upgrade TH. The last two barracks will be going to level 10 when I am next on holiday/unable to get online for a while.

I have been upgrading my DE barracks before upgrading to TH9 currently have 1 @level 2 and the other is upgrading to level 2 after that will upgrade both to level 3...

Basically I upgrade them because they used normal elixir to build, meaning I can spend it so that it doesn't go to waste while raiding, also I like to upgrade everything before the move that includes collectors/stores/barracks etc, (hero's and troops upgrades being the only exception).

The ultimate goal is to upgrade everything eventually anyway and as long as I can keep my builders busy without suffering a loot penalty I will stay TH8.

My barracks are currently level 10,9,9,9 they will all be 10 before i upgrade TH, i havent even made th DE barrack but considering that i have more elixir than i can spend daily, i might as well get it done as troops are going to be based alot round DE now.

Yeah.. I don't mind spendng more time at TH8.
I don't want 50% loot penalty on TH7 just yet..

And if I move on to th9, I will be rushing to get AQ.. 2 xbow.. lab 6.. lv6 troops.. where got time to bother about small stuff like dark barracks etc.

where got time to waste time on upgrading barrack that reduce my $ inflow for those upgrades >.<

Guess I will upgrade every single building except

-collectors
-troop upgrades(no time to do all, only 1 lab..)

my BK will most probably be Lv10 by then. Lv7 now.

Just calculated I need a total of 216 more days to max out everything including Lv10 Barracks, Lv3 dark barracks..
Including 10 days of TH upgrade is 226.. 226/5 = 45.2..
45 days from now.. thats May 18.. oh god :eek:

I have 154 builder days left till TH9 thats excluding any BK upgrades I may do (currently level 3 and only upgrade when/if I have enough DE, will probably upgrade 1 or 2 times more before I get there).

I only have 4 builders so that,s 39 more days, basically I have 61d Teslas; 50d Archer Tower; 16d Air Defense; 16d DE barracks then I am done.

I am not 100% sure I will have all 225 walls up to level 8 by then it depends on how much time I have to raid people over the month, but I think even if I am a few short I would rather keep builders busy than max out walls 100%

Yes. The exact same thought crossed my mind, that's why I built and will soon upgrade the second DB even though I hardly use the first Lvl3 DB at all.
