Dark Defendum - TH8 farming base

I switched to DD about 3 weeks ago and my trophy count went from 1178 to currently 1486.most damage has been maybe 60-65 percent and only lost a total of three times.

Would you recommend this for an early th8 base?
My town hall will be upgraded to lvl 8 in a couple of days and was looking for a farming base

As a newbie th8 i would have lots of defence upgrades at the same time.

Would this base be able to save DE storage, 1 gold storage and 1 elixir storage with say 3 defences down (say 1 mortar, 1 wiz tower and 1 ad upgrading)?

BTW I'm a max th7

Also could you recommend a good clan wars base for th8?

As far as I can tell, this base is very solid. It did everything that it should do.. BUT the north elixer storage is VERY expose IMO. Can u tell me what's the best to switch with? Ik that elixer r pretty spreading but I wanted ppl to get my elixer harder.. So far, I made bk next to it but it didn't rlly do much. Pls help

Dark Defendum will defend you trophies as well as resources. To be honest I get surprised at how effective this base went to become. A well upgraded defence with this layout will get you to crystal.

It defended my DE up till late G1 and early C3.

hmm, it will be very hard for you being an early TH8 because early TH8 is the worst place to be. With defence of TH7 and no loot penalty for TH9's will attract a lot of strong players (L6 troops) to your base. And unfortunately, it will be hard for next couple of weeks. Upgrade your splash damages as fast as you can.

All I can say is respect your shield until you get your defence to a good level. There will be no base that can keep you safe for next couple of weeks. Put your TH outside for snipers and respect the shield.

Yeah the north elixir is exposed, I won't really recommend you to switch it. Dark Defendum defends resources because the storages are spread out and that coupled with funnel and centralized/triangulated splash damages makes it very solid.

If someone chooses to attack from north all they will walk away with is elixir in that storage and if they have good amount of wall breakers the DE but not gold and elixir in other storages.

In my experience, I had about 3-4 attacks from that side and they all stopped after taking elixir from one of the storage. That's it.

hmm, very interesting. By the looks, it won't be good for protecting resources but will get you lots of trophies

It shouldn't be so difficult to make some switches I used the Dark Defendum base also some time ago with the following changes:

- Changed the triangulation, as I don't like offset triangulation, (only exception are Avernicus labyrinthic bases)
- moved the bottom archer tower more inside so that it can't be destroyed by archers which would ruin the funnel
- moved the northern elixir storage inside

Lol just saw that now,made a little mistake.. I didn't intend to close the funnel on the north east^^

Like the way u put the lower archer tower. It will surely keep the funnel alive. Not sure about the elixir storage though, DD's biggest strength IMO is the way storages are spread out.
