Best TH LvL to farm Barb King (TH7 or8?)

Hello forums, have a quick question about the optimal TH lvl to farm the 10k Dark Elixir needed to purchase the barbar king, my goal was to avoid spending any gems on DE, mostly for fun.

I am currently a maxed out TH7 and was planning on resting in the gold league to start zapping and raiding drills/storages.

I just cant decide if i should upgrade or not, the pros of moving up to level 8 are nice though like the drill, the guide below doesn't detail which is better, it simply points out the strategy for both town hall levels.

If you have any evidence for which might be more efficient i would appreciate the feedback, thanks!

If you stay at TH7 and farm de, you will end up with your storage full of gold and nothing to do with it. It would be a shame to watch all that gold dissapear into oblivion.

Since you're maxed already, do it at 8. It's easier with level 5 troops. It's not worth your builder's sleep time to get the BK. Start your Town Hall upgrade and get the Barbarian King and upgrade him while it goes. You should be able to easily get 10k.

But remember, if you zap my Dark Elixir and/or Hog me, you're going to get a GoWiPe revenge and I will destroy you.

I would say go to TH8. You can also get the DE drill there.

I didn't get mine until TH8 and the drill. And yes, it would be sad to see all that gold vanish into oblivion.

Definetly go up. Lev 5 troops and another spell will allow you to get De much faster plus the drill which is real slow but okay I guess at lev 3 still slow but help. Not to mention the fact that builder time is the most valuable thing so you dont want them sleeping

I maxed out my BK (Level 5) during TH7. All I can say that it was hard. Max it out on TH8

push to 1k6+ trophies. Finding full DE drill or storage that easy to attack. u can use lighting too. It easy to get barking 5 at TH7.
