A week into TH8, looking for tips from you!

i recently upgraded to th8(maxed 7) but i cant get enough loot for expensive upgrades, in th7 i used to get about 2millions a day with HealerGiant or ArchBarb, nut now i cant find good villages to raid.

1 - what defenses are more necessary to upgrade?

2 - what league is the best for me?

3 - i have 2 dark barracks lvl2 should i upgrade to lvl4?

4 - your strategy? (200 camp space)

thnx for the feedback. i noticed u guys use WBs to reach accessible storages. i actually havent used WBs much, so i dunno how to do that. i would like to know how to reach storages and use WBs better

Splash defenses first - mortars and wizard towers, then slowly chip away at air def, arch, cannons, and tesla.

2 - what league is the best for me?
Depends on what you want to do...farming (1500-1700 range you'll get easy TH 7)

No. IMO, hogs and minions are what u need to focus on now.

4 - your strategy? (200 camp space)
My farming army (by farming I mean usually just go for full collectors). My army cost is ~55k Elixir and I easily average total loot 400k:
3 L4 WBS (7500)
9 L5 giants (22500)
15 goblins (1000)
35 L5 arch (7000)
35 L5 barb (3500)
1 healer (6000)
total: 56500

BACKUP Troops and spells for huge loot bases:
2 L3 dragons (72k)
3 L4 healing spells (60k)

If I find a very good loot base (600k+), I will use a dragon and 1-2 heal spells.

Welcome to TH8

1. Start with Wizards Towers and Mortars, then do Air Defense and then do the rest. - That's work best here!

2. It's a bit time since I been on Th8, but the 1200-1400 was a good way with good loots. But Gold 2 and 3 is best for TH8

3. No, upgrade your Dark Barracks when you are finish with most upgrades. Valkyria and Golems isn't pretty farming useful.

4. A Giant strategy is still the best down there (Giants, Healers, Archers and Gobs) but TH8 open up for Barching, try 80 Barbarians and 120 Archers lvl 5 then.

1) Splash defenses, then ADs, then point defenses (ATs first, then cannons). Don't neglect your Tesla's though, try to do them after ADs.
2) I'm TH8 and I'm usually in Gold III, but at the moment I'm in the middle of Gold II, going for Crystal III (for the achievement) - loot isn't that bad here, I suggest stay between Gold II and III.
3) Only when you really use dark troops often. If you don't, do not bother upgrading right now, focus on your laboratory, and your farming troops. However, I suggest getting the normal barracks to at least level nine though (PEKKA's aren't necessary for now in my opinion, I've still got all my barracks at level nine...).
4) I'm using Barch with WBs and goblins. Good for collectors raids, as well as for raiding storages in the outer layers.
Army composition:
- 70 barbs
- 80 archers
- 30 goblins
- 10 WBs

Sometimes I switch out some barbs for more archers though, so I get like 50/60 barbs and 90/100 archers. Depends on you.

Always upgrade splash damage first, so wiz towers and mortars. Then upgrade things that target both air and ground, so archer towers and teslas. Then start in on your cannons and air d.

Silver 1-Gold 3 is where i farmed TH8 and looted quite well.

Don't worry about your dark barracks until the end. You won't use anything over hogs yet.

As for troops, i farm with 50/50 barbs and archers, 8 WB and all lightning spells.

I'm not that much further than you, but...

1) CC, splash, point/AD, but try to keep a tesla building as often as possible (3 teslas from 3 to 6 takes 30d each)
2) I barch in lower Gold 3 and it works relatively well.
3) I wouldn't worry about it until you need something to dump elixir in.
4) I use:
75 barbs & archers
6 giants (only used if needed)
10 WBs (only used if needed)

The thing about wallbreakers is that you don't want to carry very many of them for two reason;1. They are expensive (cost as much as 20 archers)2. They take up valuable space that could be used to keep actual damaging troops.The best way to deploy them is to clear out a full side of all the exterior buildings using barbarians and archers so that untis will go throuhg the hole in the wall once it is broken, and towards where you want the hole to be busted open before you dpeloy the wbs.Send some barbarians ahead of the ♥♥ to act as a distraction for defences, once they start taking damage/attention send in the WBs (usually 2 at a time to break pink/purple or higher walls).Another good tactic is to aim your wbs where there is a T junction to open up two of the exterior most compartments. Other wise the next set of WBs you drop will still be trying to open up that exterior compartment instead of going deeper.I hope this helps. If you look at the Hit To Kill chart: http://clashofclans.wikia.com/wiki/Defense_HTK you will see that level 9 cannons one shot level 5 and 6 archers going from Level 8 to 9. Level 8 and 9 archer towers both one shot level 6 archers so you get more out of the cannon upgrade than the archer tower upgrade with respect to BARCH armies.

Plus, you should have one builder dedicated to teslas the entire time at TH 8. They take forever to get to level 6 but when they get to level 6 they are awesome.
