Hog rider 'nerf' wasn't a nerf! Surprise kids!

Ok, so before the hate comes hear me out.
you think hogs taking more damage from a giant bomb is a nerf, does that make tesla x2 damage to pekka a nerf?
NOPE
I think it will be exactly the same, a nerf is when the reduce a troops attack, damage, speed etc.
The hog rider has NOT been nerfed! They didn't reduce health, or dps, or speed. They only take more damage from giant bombs.

On topic: They buffed the giant bomb, not the hogs! So stop complaining about a forumer and instead of "hogs nerfed" it is "giant bomb buffed"

Maybe not a direct nerf (well actually it is since it is a change directed specifically at one troop) but certainly will make them less appealing since.

1/ They die easier
2/ Ground troops are now a lot stronger with the new jump spell

Even if hogs aren’t nerfed we will see them used a lot less since the jump spell gives ground troops the same ability that made hogs appealing but in a more controlled manor

Yeah...but GB were only buffed against HOG RIDERS, which in effect has nerfed HR.

Incorrect, the giant bomb still does the same amount of damage to every other troop in the game, the hogriders were nerfed by taking more damage from them.

Nerf or not, it's going to make life more difficult for Hogs. I'm interested to see how much of a difference it is though. We will have to wait and see I guess...

Yep, but the giant bomb got a buff to make more damage to hogs, but hogs themselves are untouched. Instead of "hogs got nerfed" it is "Giant bombs got buffed vs hogs"

The term "nerfing" comes from the online gaming world of Ultima Online.


At one point in the game, the developers reduced the power of swords in melee combat.


This resulted in players complaining that it was like they were hitting each other with nerf bats, not swords.


From then on, if ever something gets made less worth while than it had been originally, it is considered 'nerfed'
