    Snakebox: A brand new type of Anti-Hog Bases!

    This base design idea is originally found by Bfoz. You can find his thread here. Remember that i have shared my modifications with him and have full permission to post it here. Let's get to the base!


    Version 2 is here!
    Scroll down a bit to find it. Replaced two Air Defences in the center due to comments saying that they might lose their path. Instead we have one drill and our BK in the center, which gives us a much stronger hog-path.

    Go down a bit more to find them. It's all i have until now except the TH snipes. Check them out!

    Concept

    The idea behind this base is, rather than making hogs do a merry-go-round, making them going where we want, which is in this case in an S shape. There were some flaws with the original version of the base in Bfoz's thread, but with some modifications, the base seems a lot better now.

    Features and Improvements
    Rather than the original version, in this version there are seperated storages, triangulated and relatively-less exposed mortars with squared Wizard Towers and centralised Air Defences. Also added 2 bombs, in the middle of two GBs which enables us to kill level 5 hogs instantly.

    Testing and Support
    Of course, there are still some flaws with the base. What we are expecting from who wants to test it, is to post their results and their experiences and perhaps your modifications with us to improve the base. We will also be testing so get ready for some defense logs!

    What are we working on
    Currently, we are trying to add more 4x2 spaces to make it harder for attacker to anticipate the placement of Giant Bombs. We are also trying to build a trophy version so throw your suggestions in for that too!

    nice base

    but wouldn't the AD in the core attract the hogs to the other AD? i think there is about 60% chance that it will go to the other side

    Intriguing concept, OP (and the original creator)... I can test this out as well if you'd like. Currently am Lvl 99 TH9 with near-max defenses:

    xbows lvl 2 (1 upgrading to lvl 3, will start second when 1st ug has 7 days left)
    arch towers lvl 10 (2 upgrading to lvl 11, starting 3rd later today and will finish remaining 3 when builders finish)
    air def lvl 6
    mortars maxed
    cannons maxed
    teslas maxed
    giant bombs maxed
    BK 12
    AQ 10

    Will give it a shot once I get back up to Crystal..

    I'm willing to test this base, 240 of my walls are Lavas, I'm currently at Champs, so getting raided won't be hard, my defenses are 100% max, teslas are almost max (1 level for each one) traps are max, Heros are both level 29, lab is max, literally all I'm doing are walls and teslas before I'm 100% max th9. I'm really excited for th10 Ill try and get you some logs soon. Unless you just wanna test it yourself. Anyways, this looks like a good concept.

    Very creative idea, but I'm not sure how successful it will be.

    Consider this:

    The anti-hog bases that use a ring (obviously) force the hogs to encircle the base, which allows the middle defences to pick off the hogs as they play merry-go-round, ie there are defences located outside of the hog route. This is one of it's key features and most critical effectiveness.

    In your s-route base there aren't many locations on the "s" where the other "s" if defending it. So it would act similarly to a giant hog ring with no center defences.

    Secondly, if hogs were attacking the the x-bow in the center it's possible the hogs will jump to the central AD on the other S instead of continuing on in the current S path.

    Hmm, i doubt that they would do that but still can't argue with the weird AI. We'll have to wait for some replays i guess.

    Wow,cool! I doubt any TH9 base stand a chance in champs tough. I would like to see the results anyways.
