Thats a good plan, but there are 4 red air bombs lol.
by the time you are done checking for air bombs, and send in your main swarm, your grounds troop got taken down already.
but i have not use this tactic before, maybe some others have already mastered that strategy

ive been using this drop and bait tactic sometimes, the problem is that if they're placed more centrally then your bait will be taken down before you trigger the traps, plus lets not forget minions take 2 housing spaces and before you know it you already run out of troops by just testing the waters.

It's hard to tease air bombs out if they're placed centrally. Place them peripherally and they're easy to counter.

what i have been doing is using a healer/giant army my healer goes around and gets it all some air bombs attack her but she alive then i out my minions once my healer took all of the damage from the air bombs thats what i have been doing





does anyone know how to do like something down there like a sigh like zachUVA's that has like links?

Anyone not completely inept with air defense placement will prevent you from losing more than one bomb this way. Also, the ability to drive deep into bases is dependent on concentrated force. The need to launch two separate raids or to dribble forces in slowly is a huge disadvantage to any troop which requires such deployment.


To be clear, I do think minions are an intriguing troop and for the moment I'm still upgrading mine. But barring bomb rebalance or other strategic innovation I don't currently see them being helpful to farmers.

e: I'll add that this is one reason the linked videos aren't a good comparison although I expect minions to beat archers on most maps without bombs. The archers are deployed slowly such that dps is appearing on the battlefield half as fast as in the minion example.

I use a couple of Dragons to bait out Air-traps, and tank for the Minions.
