Ran into something to this effect today. Had all traps and bombs next to his Th. Got me irritated so full on attacked and 3 starred em. Don't understand the logic

They do it because they are stupid.
The last guy I found with 4 Teslas around his TH, I looted over 500k resources and left at 38%. I hope he enjoyed the few trophies he got, and I hope he enjoys getting raided again 5 minutes later from having no shield

But usually, when I see this happening (I put one troop to check for them), then I know the rest of the base is weaker, 'cause there aren't any Teslas inside the base... and then I just go for the loot and get a one-star raid due to 50% :P
It'd be the same as a simple snipe, just that they lost a whole bunch of loot
i think, if someone has to get rid of 4 teslas, his army won't be strong enough anymore to 3-star the whole base..
could this be the thought behind it?

Nope there's no thought behind it its just them trolling. Think about it if your army and skill level is enough to three star the base and take out every single building there's just an advantage to having 4 of their towers out in the open with easy access. Normally you'd have to fight those towers with all their defense and splash reigning down on you while trying to get through their walls. Its a weaker design for sure

This is the easiest way to gain victory points for undestructable achievement.
A lot of snipers don't have the whole army being build, so they lose. In addition the Xbow is usually cowering the TH (and it's not always obvious)

If you are in a farming range ie silver or gold then it's usually lower level players who need to th snipe to maintain or raise trophies. If you have level 5 troops then generally you can 1-2 star most raids even with a farming army like BARCH. With level 3-4 troops you can't and so you need to snipe. This is a trap for noobs, if they don't have full army they lose and if they do have full army they have to deploy them to get a few trophies or accept the loss of 20-30 trophies.
