Eventually I did, and I'm really happy with it! It seems to protect against mass archers/wizards alot better, and is holding off full-fledged TH8's. I'm really really happy with it. Thanks so much!

The biggest flaw to it ...
It's really vulnerable to jump spells.
I got wrecked by a TH9 who used pretty much mass gobs, but he used a jump spell to breach straight into one of my elixr storages and to my DE. Really upset about it ... he took alot. But really, how often does that happen! It holds off great attacks, and I can"t thank you enough for this design.
Thanks for your feedback! I don't regularly get hit by TH9s with jump spells as well, but thanks for the heads up- I'll add Jump Spell into my Cons section Just a note that this base doesn't protect DE too well, which is why once I drop from Crystal I (I'm aiming for Masters) I might make a DE protection base for those hoarding DE

Trust me, its not. People who BARCH aim for my collectors which holds from 100-150K (they're all level 11) and don't reach my storages. If they do, the giant bomb placement will decimate them

I never thanked you for sharing this so,,,,,, Thank You. During my last days as a 7 I used this one and a pokeball base and Optimus performed better for me in the silver/gold leagues. I did move the two collectors at the top to the bottom where all those defensive turrets are...

    ...again, thanks.

You're welcome! Once I hit TH8 (after I reach Masters) I'll be making a TH8 version of the Optimus.

Base looks pretty. Good but traps Aren't being made useful in this design. They aren't drawn to thEm at all. If placed correctly correctly. The traps can take out more troops than all other defenses combined.

It has actually protected my dark elixr really well for me - since I'm only farming walls and never have 1mil+ elixr I have switched a few storages around though. My barb king is placed just in fromt of my DE, where the elixr storage nornally is. Works a charm

BTW, the jump spell raid was a revenge attack. All he wanted was my DE, I took about 800 off him

This is true. But since the mortars are so centralised, they don't cover the outside so it is really to be 50%'d. I personally don't mind though, this isn't a trophy base anyway.

Looking forward to the TH8 Optimus too - I'll be starting the upgrade soon too

Not to steer the thread in a different direction but a quick note on pushing to Masters --- I found that when I left my TH out and free I gave up far fewer cups........good luck.

I'll admit that the traps are rather poorly placed in the design, though if you flip the T-junctions at the northern side of the base and remove the blocking walls at the south it could work as a proper funnel.

That's quite a surprise, since while in the testing stage TH8s kept smashing through my base to get my 5000+ DE

I plan to upgrade to TH8 soon as well. With 50 new walls I'll be sure to make a piece of art Thanks for the positive feedback!

Thanks, though it doesn't make much difference since those TH9/10s always 3* my base anyways

Yep, IF, they get there first --- a fellow pusher is always out there and they are happy with 4, 5 or 6 cups and you get the shield. I kept a log for about 10 days on in/out and the out won. With it in I was netting about 40-50 cups a day while the it being out got my net above 60. Granted, I could have just been lucky. Another thing that I did which helped on the revenge is I never sniped or starred a base with a double digit trophy differential --- that way on revenge there's a good chance of breaking even.

    Alright, thanks for the tips.

I think we should stop the conversation before it gets too off-topic

Wow! 10,000 views! I can't thank you guys enough

Upcoming updates: two additional modes will be added to Optimus, along with a cleaner and shorter thread to suit those who don't like lots of text.
