Why do people hate top players?

I like this strategy. He uses his anger as fuel to 3-star them, and get a HUGE GG.

I love everybody, and understand their base, and my barch gets ripped to pieces. *sigh*

You could blame it on that but really CoC is the only game I play which has so much hate towards the leaderboard. It's also the only game that I play where you can exploit a glitch or ♥♥♥♥♥ without getting a perm ban. And the only game I play where almost none of the rules are enforced. In other games there's more admiration for the top because everyone knows they got it through effort and skill and not by shady means.

To be honest. I don't like them because they use their money to get, in my eyes, an unfair advantage over the people who can't or won't spend as much. To me it feels like chęating. The heavy use of gems closely resembles the use of performance-enhancing drugs in sports. The difference is that in CoC it's allowed. Well then again, as I said, they provide the money to keep Supercell running. True, there's enough of money already for Supercell, but the extra from top players helps us get new and better updates. Every game is basically pay to win.

I just don't get this? Instead if hating on those with money why not do something for yourself so you can get more money? Why is it unfair someone has and will spend more money? Are you in favor of taking money from those you deem have too much so you can give if others? Also known as theft...

A better analogy would be a bunch of footballers who like to kick a ball about in the park in their sandals compared to a bunch of footballers who buy expensive football balls boots and hire a training ground in order to play.

In no way is it c h e ating, money buys them that advantage.

I dislike the amount of exploits that are used by the MEGA family. I remember when Mohammed Maher stayed on top for TWO WEEKS without getting attacked once. I respect other top clans, like Kings Landing, but those of MEGA have no respect from me.

Either way it isn't what you call an equal match. Especially when you consider al lot of those sandal wearing players in the park don't have the money to get all those luxuries. That's the main thing. Even if they wanted to, they can't. Especially the part in your analogy about sandals in the park makes it sound like that group wants it the easy way. And that just not true, al least not for everybody.

First of all, hate is a feeling, it's not true, not false, its not a choice and it's just there.
Second I'm not hating on people with money, research even suggests that most people with a lot are working their butts of to get it. But for a lot of people their income just isn't sufficient enough to spend those crazy amounts of money on this game ( yes, I do call it crazy because I'm morally opposed against such decadence). Think about school kids for example or people with families. Also it's too easy to assume everyone can makes huge numbers from thin air. The reality is that most people don't have the means.
Because of how this game works, it favors players with a lot of money. So maybe we are projecting the hate we feel towards the gemmers because they're the manifestation of what is wrong with the system. At least those of us who aren't plain jealous.
