Nice guide Coldfury, I am a avid BAM user myself and know most of the tricks to it, but I certainly picked up some great new things from this guide. I like the idea of the 2 min window, but what do you do if after the 4 mins you can't find a base with >100k?

Thanks! It just that im a little impatient myself cause i tried to BAM in 1900-2000 trophies and i had to press next a lot to find a juicy base. I want like lots of resources in a few nexts when im boosting but guess thats not really possible.Originally Posted by Coldfury
The loot is there consistently, but it's really hard to get all of it especially as a TH9.
Once you get halfway through Crystal I, it's pretty much all TH10's with lvl 2/3 IT's set to multi. There's occasional premie bases, but they're more rare the higher you go.
So, you basically get into the mindset of trying to get that 1 star and looking for bases with storages out on the edges that you can get. Most players are better up there, so they'll have their storages spread out as well.
From what I hear as you get higher into Masters and Champions you start hitting the max bases that truly don't need their gold, and those are much less protected so it may be more consistent.
No matter if it's good or bad, I strongly encourage you to go up there and have some fun with your balloons to see for yourself. I always enjoy pushing with mine.
If you're planning to do that for your farming, then I'd suggest tracking your gph over several days and make sure you take into account your losses on defense. Then it will be a little easier for you to decide which farming approach is better for you and your playing style.

this was very common back when CW came out so i just adjusted to 100k+ for first base and then look for 50k+ After a couple minutes. No matter what, you're better off attacking somebody for even 10k at the 4 minute mark to get the win bonus and have an army waiting.
as I've mentioned, it's all about maximizing gph no matter what that max is.

Great read. I've been barching and while I already do a lot of what you said, I definitely learned a few more things to maximize gph. The 2 minute tip was excellent and I hadn't thought of that before.

These tips also work for me as a th8. I've been farming in the 1700-1900 trophy range, and the loot was great. I was bringing in 1.5-2 million per hour, which is good for me. Now, there is no loot at all. I'm moving to 2000 trophies.
Yeah, loot does dance around at times. As a general rule, when loot is bad its usually better higher up. There are times though when you get to better loot, but it's too hard to get and thats when i start working my way back down.

I am a th8 farming between 1600 and 1900 trophies. I have a near maxed base with just several point defenses and walls left. My problem is whenever i use BAM my dark elixir slowly depletes even as I manage to destroy dark elixir pumps and storages. should i keep certain amounts of minions in dark bax or just spam everything full like i am in the habit of doing (i try to save minions, they are my final wave i deploy)

Wow. You've convinced me to actually give BAM a shot. I've always loved Barch and never really knew how to use BAM so I just didn't. But now that I know, I feel like a moron for not trying it earlier! Awesome guide
