I loved reading this guide. You did a great job, and I can tell a lot of effort went into this. I just have one question; I boost my barracks once a day usually, but lately I've not been boosting because my storages are always full. I am nearly done with TH8 and am finishing up teslas and I am trying to keep a builder free to finish my last 100 walls, which will not take very long at all, but I always have to put a builder on my Barbarian King (going to 9) and upgrading Dark Barracks (going to 3 and one is at 2). I was just wondering if I should be patient and finish TH8 or go ahead and start TH9. Once again, I loved the guide!

I'm not saying it can't be beat because it absolutely can by a good attacker, but the vast majority of attacks I see are hogs or dragons and those have a really rough time.

lol, hey most people in the state of Nebraska respond to that so I knew who you were talking to.
I only queue minions as needed after each attack. So, if I use 10 minions on the prior attack I queue 5/5. If I use them all I queue 15/15.
Sometimes I'll go long stretches without using them, so that's why I don't queue them full time.
Lol your welcome. I highly sugest you change it to include a little more in ur center. If i can do this well with just a full out barch army...think what i could do with gowipe. Anyways dont juge me for useig it. Im not hurting anyone in any way for useing it. But then again i see were u might think im the worst person ever. I used to think that useing this was for ♥♥♥♥♥ing high level scum. I have no idea how it made people drop troops and was shocked to see people blame the app. Then again do we really know what happend

So, there's really no right answer to this question and as I'm sure you know there are a lot of different opinions.
My personal opinion is that it drives me crazy to have idle builders as well as having nothing to spend my excess gold on. So, I went TH9 "very early" because my skull wall were finished long before my defenses, which isn't necessarily your situation yet. I will say that once you hit TH9, you will be very distracted with a ton of elixir upgrades (camps/labs/drills/etc.) that whatever defenses you have left will be waiting a long time to get finished.
You'll also be opened up to friendly visits from your neighborhood TH10 which aren't always pleasant for a new TH9, but if you have a good farm base layout with TH outside, those can be mitigated.
I'm sure I'm probably not helping much because the real answer is that you'll be just fine if you stay where you are and you'll be just fine if you move up to TH9. I personally feel that TH9 is the highest gph TH in the game. The 220 troops farming on TH10/TH9/TH8 is insane at times.
So, if you're bored and want to have some new stuff, shoot for TH9. If you want to finish what you have left, then I'd stick around TH8. You will have no problem farming gold at TH8 or TH9, so it's your choice really.
The only "non-negotiable" for me to go to the next TH level is to ensure you have maxed your camps and farming troops. you can have all lvl 1 defenses at TH10 and farm just fine if you have max lvl troops and camps. Sure, you'll get rocked on D, but that's only once or twice a day compared to 30-40 attacks on offense (if boosting)

Actually I wish we could "legitimately" test our designs against various armies, but that would take away some of the fun of learning and experimenting I guess.Lol your welcome. I haven't spent a ton of time up in Masters, so I've only had one maxed GoWiPe and one GoWiWi's (lvl 4 golems) and they did horrible in both attacks. The problem is the ai only allows troops to go across the gap to the core if you've cleared out all buildings in both directions to allow the center buildings to be the "next closest". So, they just wander around the circle harmlessly while the IT's and xbows chew everyone up.
Don't read me wrong, I know it can be beat by a skilled player, but a player has to spam a whole side typically to get in. Your BARCH attack does that I'm sure, but I am truly curious how it would do with traps, bombs, etc in play.
I've had several BARCH attacks and they've done worse than anything I've ever seen. The get smoked very quickly.
If you go watch some of Stitches GoWiPe video's I think I could have max TH10 defenses in any "popular" defensive design and I have no chance of preventing a 2 star. At least with my "ai" exploiting layout the attacker has to actually know what they're doing in addition to spamming max troops.
If you watch that video, you'll see a few of my defenses, but more importantly you'll see that with the frequency of TH snipes my base layout is irrelevant for the most part when it comes to farming.
