No offense, but wasn't Noth 44 the clan where Jorge Yao was in when whe was a top-che@ter/exploiter...I mean top-'player'.
I'm sure there are also honourable players in the clan, though.

Not everyone who benefited from the gem bug was guilty of abusing it. The bug occurred when someone spent gems then logged off, once returning their gems would be returned. Logging in and out is common among players, so tell me this, should innocent people be punished for a glitch on Supercell's behalf? The gems offered as an apology did not come close to rewarding players as the time they lost in builders and resources could not be recovered with the gems received.

The bases that got rolled back didn't include the ones that benefited by accident and got a couple of free upgrades. It was the ones who blatantly abused the bug - for example, bases that went from TH7 to maxed TH10 by abusing the bug. And it doesn't matter how much those free gems they got for their troubles of being rolled back covered - the point is, they intentionally abused a bug and broke the rules.

If Supercell made a public statement that anyone caught breaking the rules currently will be punished, I bet a lot of them would stop. But if they think there will be no consequences for breaking the rules, they're just going to keep doing it.

There are quite a few posts/threads from people who were rolled back and did not benefit to the extent claimed as blatantly abused. SC had no way of knowing who abused the bug just that they benefited from it. It was a collective punishment/correction that had to take innocent people into consideration.
