Thank you for fixing the game and doing away with the issue within a reasonable amount of time. For a second I thought this was the end of COC. Nice work SC.
Not sure if this question has been asked yet, but will the victims of the thieves get their trophies back?

The guys who c-h-e-a-t-e-d all of us in champs and so blatantly did so right in our faces for all to see, obviously not caring about what the consequences were are only to be banned for 7 days? Now I see why they didn't care and did it right in front of your faces because there are no real consequences. Money obviously means more to you then the integrity of the game and that's truly a shame. Most of the guys who c-h-e-a-t-e-d spend a higher amount of money on the game then the average player so it's obvious to me what supercells agenda is here and how this is going to be handled in the future. C-h-e-a-t-e-r-s will be slapped on the wrist and then sent on their merry way because they spend money and that's what this is all about in the first place.
Personally I've had enough now that you have shown your true colors, and I'm going to take my money elsewhere. I know that there are quite a few other high level players that feel the same and are also done. I know this is a business SuperCell but you've proven absolutely nothing by 7 day bans to any of us. Truly pathetic..
In 7 days he will have lost MUCH more then he ever gained from the glitch. Most of the bans handed out were overly harsh, especially to first time offenders and people who were using the glitch to get back the trophies that were stolen from them by other players using the glitch (no this does not make it right, but it is what it is). A lot of players lost 100+ trophies to the glitch and knew that supercell would not give them the trophies they lost back, so they used the glitch themselves to get them back. This whole ordeal was basically like watching a lynch mob. No forgiveness, no fairness, just a bunch of ♥♥♥♥♥♥ off people trying to get revenge.Originally Posted by LiLCeeZ

It is better than nothing at all. It will certainly discourage them from doing it again, because I'm sure Supercell will punish repeat offenders more severely, possibly even with permanent bans.
Are you serious? What kind of punshiment is that..... Light slap on the wrist! Those players should have been banned for life. Its bad enough SC wouldnt fix the ghosting problem for ages but this is a complete joke. No justice for those people who lost cups....
Guys let this issue go! The bans handed out were either overly harsh or at the very least fair! Many of you have such big misconceptions of champions league! Before this glitch there was almost no ♥♥♥♥♥ing occuring unless you consider cheap shielding or using revenge on friends and clanmates ♥♥♥♥♥ing. Thank god no one in this forum is in law enforcement/justice departments or you guys would sentence everyone whose ever committed a crime to the death penalty, from the guy who committed murder, to the kid who stole a candy bar.

First of all they weren't harsh enough. Secondly using a c-h-e-a-t because you got c-h-e-a-t-e-d is never justification and that was a ridiculous statement. If you c-h-e-a-t and especially out in the open for all to see, basically saying "hey supercell look at me I'm c-h-e-a-t-i-n-g" and screw us, the high level players that spend money too in champs but don't c-h-e-a-t, you're telling the truth about what this is all about in the end without ever saying it. Cash is king and supercell could give a damn about any of us or the integrity of the game. Long as their pockets continue to fill up doesn't matter if I got c-h-e-a-t-e-d and basically lost money.
7 days is garbage and everyone knows it, SC doesn't give a damn.

Since profits seem to get brought up as motivation for the action taken. How much is a champion worth over a week of playing? And what are the estimates of the amount of players banned?
I ask because I have a feeling this will be shown to be small in comparison to daily sales.

Is it right to permanently ban a player who has spent 10,000$ on his or her account based on ONE instance of abusing a glitch? When someone speeds in their brand new ferrari do you take the ferrari away? Every single player who was banned will lose WAY more trophies then they gained from the glitch, believe me on that. Even a 7 day ban means they will be attacked anywhere from 10-14 times, even if they only got attacked for as little as 15 trophies each time they'd still be down hundreds by the time their ban is up. Most players received longer bans anyways, from 11-21 days.
