Going for storages requires a longer cook time army, spells (freaking spells, even if you have a army that only req's 30-45min its still up to 2hrs for spells), very little Elixer/DE profit(more costly army).
All that greatly slows down TH10 attacks so the game becomes more tiresome...set army to cook, attack, log out, 1-2 hours later come back pray none of your meager winnings were stolen, attack...rinse repeat.
Even with non boosted barch/Bam u are not waiting long cause spells are just icing for getting a little bit deeper, so you stay on.
@OP yes the collectors will still be there but wont be near as many..much greater population at TH8 that have gone inactive.
