I maxed my TH9 up to lego walls and lvl 15 and 17 heroes. Everything else maxed, including lab except only lvl 3 golem.

Once I got to TH10, I started building two inferno towers within the first 24 hours, and once my next clan war started, I went from 4th highest base, up to #1 base in my clan lol. Simply because of the two ITs. It was a nice feeling.

It pays to max out. It makes leveling TH10 so much easier. Like others have said, you should take advantage of raiding rich TH8s at TH9 because you lose that ability at TH10. You are paying 1k gold per search at TH10, so again, take advantage of the cheaper next button at TH9. You can definitely farm more efficiently at TH9, so why not be more efficient?

And when you get to TH10, you are a BEAST. Add the ITs and you're already stronger than 90-95% of the TH10s in Crystal league! What a nice reward

So many vote max, but how many have actually done it?

Honestly it's a pipe dream for many. Yes many have the belief completely max is best. And up to TH8 is very possible to do.

TH9 however is a totally new ball game - there are 50 NEW HERO LEVELS and 2 NEW SETS OF WALLS - worth ONE BILLION GOLD.

Previous halls add a paltry 5 hero levels and one set of walls which cost next to nothing.

When you get to the end game of TH9 with no buildings left, toiling away for SEVERAL MONTHS just to get DE & gold for walls and heroes does take a toll. It is a seriously tough grind.

I'm grinding away but have almost strayed many times. My heroes are 45 levels combined - still need 15 more. Still have 185 lavas to go. It's crazy guys, it really is.

Other factors.

Trophy Pushing - so much harder to do at TH9. Hit high Masters and watch these TH10s roll you over with ease, those nice walls and heroes do nothing at the top to stop you getting your ♥♥♥ handed to you.

Clan Wars - I genuinely believe those who try to fully max TH9 get PUNISHED by clan wars. You get matched up against strong TH10s who have Infernos, freeze spells and more troops. And don't forget your upgrading heroes CANNOT be used in war.

Easier said then done guys, I would not be surprised if more than 50% that voted max TH9 - never in fact max TH9.

yeah, that's the fact
when a th8 asking about going to th9, then those th6/7 guys will come and say max out
those noobs will always bragging that their th6/7 will destroy a premie TH9/10.
I'm a premie TH9/10 and I always wondering how they do that while even a maxed TH9 can't easily get me.

well, I'm a premie th10 with basically TH7/half TH8 point defense... I never regret it because TH10 is so much fun, no one will bother to touch my resource because they're guarded by 3 xbows and infernos.

Then bad loot on TH10 is just a myth. When you know how to farm and you know how to beat people, you don't have to max everything.

I always a premie, never max my TH and doesn't have any problem to loot, defense or CW. I never have idling labs or builders too. My gold grab is now very close to 1b...

I stopped 1 wall level before max, but still maxed all defenses and offenses (minus the last golem level available at TH9).

For me, the amount of wasted builder time and elixir would have been too great for me to stay TH9 any longer. All lego walls was the final upgrade I wanted to achieve as a TH9.

I agree that hardly anyone truly maxes TH9 to all lava walls and lvl 30 heroes.

I also believe that when people are voting to max, they don't mean heroes and walls too, just defenses and offenses. A lot more people do that.
