    Your hybrid design is still going strong. I was having problems on the southern area of the base, but I moved my de storage to north left side and swapped it with a gold storage and the funneling effect on the northern opening is working great. I'm defending decently around 1400-1600 with minimal gold loss. I will post battle log and maybe replay videos in a little while. By the way your farming design is incredible and I literally would lose gold that was in my collectors. Thanks for designing such incredible designs and I look forward to more.

    Great designs and why not use both? Neither is perfect, but I doubt you would aiming for a perfect 1:1 ratio of farming:trophy anyway. So, if you feel like leaning your hybrid towards trophy, go #1, max farm? go # 2, alternating as the need arises. I actually like rearranging.


    I am now thinking of going the hydrid route myself as I was already getting a bit bored with the lack of real attacks on my base with folks just grabbing my TH. Since the update, I am seeing even more TH grab-and-go's.

    That was spot on analysis haha.
    I share similar thoughts.
    I'm not sure if the latest def vid on my chnl has DE storage at the top left, but yeah, after I shifted it to top left, everybody was just aimming the southern portion for 2 gold storage + 2 elixir storage, and I was getting tire of losing 120k per raid.
    Losing more than 100k of gold or 500 DE per raid is considered a loss to me..
    But yeah, I'm at 1600~1700 currently and facing stronger attackers, so that might be one of the reason why.

    One problem with such mazing in a trophy/hybrid base is that, assuming the first attack didn't shield you, the traps will be gone after the first raid, leading to a hole in your defense per se.

    Anyway, I'm glad its working out for you at the lower range, now trying my new hybrid base, which was derived from my farming base, and see if I can hit 2,200 trophy while not losing more than 100k gold and 50% in each defense

    Haha, cause the rearranging of the base is not as simple as just shifting a few walls and 2 buildings, but the need to shift atleast 40% of the base haha.
    I guess if I'm really farm for trophy, i.e 2,200 trophy, will use the TH mid design.
    If I am just hovering around 1700, then will use the cc mid design.

    Yeah, Farming base is cool and protects your resources, but it can get boring with no real attack, especially with the new update emphasing on trophies.
    I believe even if you push in your th slightly, but not behind walls, people will still come for your base.

    Here is my updated base.

    1. "harder to lure" CC as you can see in the picture
    2. balance distribution of Splash tower
    3. Completely segmented Gold/DE
    4. Each Gold/DE has 3 splash coverage
    5. Resource distribution wise, its 2,000DE vs 66k gold vs 66k gold vs 66k gold, hence I placed more defense for DE
    6. Again, elixir not much use, so I place it directly opposite the DE, so people wanting to get the elixir will go through more than half the base to get to my DE.
    7. Exterior building wise, I'm still testing whether attackers will easily 50% my base by sniping the exterior building, only replays will tell.
      Might open up the corner pockets to put more buildings behind walls.
    8. Air Def not really centralised, but at my 1700 region, still not THAT much air raids, so will keep a look out for them.

    I like your No 2 base design. CC is well centralised. I think they will attack from your west if you choose to use base 2 because your TH is not well protected and if they are going for trophies.

    EDIT: Well yeah the west is abit weak. Maybe you can unprotect the cc on the west side by removing the 3 walls and reinforce it with some other buildings

    just curious, why dont u swap the outer elixir storage with your drill?

    also just curious, where will u put the second air def after its upgraded?

    Ok, I am not quite ready to make the "full on" move to central TH but I think I am ready to give the TH in, central CC design of yours a try.

    I haven't had my TH inside walls in a long, long time. Gulp. :eek:

    Here is what it looks like. Obviously, right after taking the screenshot, I moved upgrading defensive building outside the walls, in range of splash.
