[Screenshot] Base Designs TH8

Hi all - I'm hoping to get some help in locating a solid TH8 trophy or hybrid design. I think I've been through all the pages in this thread, plus 70% of the ones in the previous massive thread. However, 95% of bases are farming bases.

Is anyone able to point me toward a place where I can find some solid ideas for higher level trophy hunting TH8 designs? I've been on clashofclansbuilder.com, but most of that seems terrible and untested, prized for looks over functionality.

Here is my current one, which I've modified from a design I've seen on this thread:


I've had some pretty beefy armies thrown at it, and the weakness is they have taken the town hall, but are wiped out before 50%. Biggest weakness seems to be giants.

Is it too compact?

Hey fellow CoCers, I saw earlier that Junliang posted about this base he found on clashofclanbuilder.com. I've been using it for a while now and have had great success with it. Mind you lately people have just been going for my th, apparently the few trophies are what's most important to people right now... I did tweak it a bit but here is a shot of it, I am just in the process of changing my base... If my new base doesn't hold up I will be changing it back to this.
Don't mind my lvl 5 walls as I haven't been at th 8 for too long...

Looks quite good actually.
Just that CC is off center.
Method to fix it
1) DE storage swap with mid elixir
2) mid elixir swap with CC.

If i'm not committed to my current base, I might even try this one out.

The only issue with this base is that its so spread out, and the main target people will aim is bottom left and top right.
So those point defense being far away is a problem.

Interesting setup for sure - that would be cool of ya to try it out. speaking of new designs.. you got a hybrid design in the works for the new update?

reconsider the location of your splash - particular your wizard towers. I a prefer a a centralized approach for splash but if your wizard splash is covering all storages your good. ~C.

Your resources is not balance though. cutting your base in half and your 2 Lv11 gold + DE storage is expose already.

Yup.. made one already.
But in no hurry to test it as my Air Def and tesla are not exactly ready, so will wait till the update, and see whether losing a th is really a problem.
But even if losing a th is not a problem, I will just be testing various th8 bases out when my defenses are maxed out.

yup.. I hear ya -gonna start my last air def now and still have my teslas to finish. is it sad that even though I have 3 more defense buildings to finish that i'm not excited for TH9 yet as I still have about half of my walls to max.

Nope.. I'm personally also just improving my base step by step.. i only have 111 black walls.
114 more to go..

Then again, why rush. getting to th9 is sooner or later haha.. might as well enter th9 in your best form.

My original TH 8 base was geared around protecting 2 gold storages and 1 DE storage:




I have been upgrading my, up until now decoy, 3rd gold storage. I just finished this 3 gold storage design below with the goal of pushing my gold out a bit so that if attacking from any one side, some of the gold or de is far away, out of reach from wall breakers from the other side. I figured I dislike attacking bases with gold spread out in three places so why not do that myself.



Haven't been attacked yet--we shall see.

Hey guys!

I spent some time now trying too create a good TH8 hybrid base design. I havent tried it out yet but i think it will do pretty good.

The things i was focusing on in the build was the centralized AD and the triangular shape of the splash buildings.
I also tried to avoid them T-junctions but its really hard i think but i did my best. I also wanted to keep the CC fairly centralized and i think i succeeded with that.

One thing i would wanna have a comment on is how i could move my DES to a more centralized spot. Any idea? I'll let you know how it works after i had it a while. But now its time for you guys too give me some critics lol.
