    Sure you can look at a base and see if it's pretty or not.

    This forum is full of ♥♥♥♥ threads, not sure why you're picking fault with actually quite good ones.

    Your energy would be better spent ragging on premature base threads

    Reminds me of those guys that BRAGS about how his TH8 base is invincible and unbreakable at 1,000 trophies..


    The battle logs shows my base surviving at 2,300 Trophy as a Hybrid base.

    Here we go again. This is my last incarnation for TH8, as you can see I'm going up to TH9 as we speak...





    The basic premise for this base is keyhole surgery. To attack it you got to get in through the first wall and then rely on your troops to do the right thing. Once inside though, they are under my control...

    Clearly a funneling design, each of those enormously expensive Wiz towers covers a couple of restrictions which force troop into one single spot. I can't tell you how satisfying it is to watch a hundred troops die all at once!

    lvl6 giants tend to congregate at the very tips of the peaks and stand there getting hammered by the WMDs (wizard mortar defences).

    It is asymmetrical BUT if you look carefully, the archer towers and cannons are almost perfectly mirrored pentagons. The wiggly shape is really there to put people off, to my knowledge there is no weak area as such, it's all pretty much the same. I prefer people to come in where the TH is because one lot of giants get squeezed left, the other right and they both go flying on the springs traps.

    The only troops that have got anywhere near taking all the loot are raged PEKKAs, most other attacks fail miserably. Have to say the two PEKKA attacks were well planned revenges (pyrric victories costing way more than they won) and both seemed to be incredibly lucky the PEKKAs wandred off away from the Teslas. I may have to rethingk their placement.

    Comments welcome. It's working REALLY well so far. Can't wait to tweak it for TH9...

    Yes thanks. Those walls were a quest I can tell you but great fun and really satisfying. I kind of miss doing them now I am back to ten day upgrades...

    The centralised storage is part of the fundamental design; to provide a really strong defence and put (almost) everything behind it. The concentration of firepower in there is insane, it's really compact and that's another fundamental in the design.

    No goblin has ever made it that far! An Archer Queen has shot out the DE and some guy got a hoard of Barbs in there with a jump spell (never even seen one before) but they got killed instantly. Most of the rest are one or two k raids, gold that is, I don't worry about elixir.

    And thats part of the reason goblins dont get to the core, there's plenty of elixir on offer and the first line defense is entirely open! You can walk all the way round the second layer, hitting funneling traps and springs but it's entirely open.

    Also, please note one tiny elixir store outside, one big one inside the first layer and one inside the next. It is a subtle placement but it works a treat. Troops often go for the nearest "exposed" storage i.e. not behind a wall. Of course the plan is to keep them busy, keep them tightly packed and hit them with WMDs.

    The AK and DE collector are inside as much to take up free space as anything really and they will be replaced with more appropriate defences. Having the BK in the middle ish means he does tend to steer attacks to the opposite side.

    I am hoping this will work as a transitional design so that I can build on it while going through the pain and pleasure of a TH upgrade. It will be pretty mch the same for a week or so while I am playing with all the new toys in TH9.

    I just upgraded to town hall 8...

    I was previously a pretty much maxed out th 7. I upgraded a day ago and this is the state of my base atm. I would like reviews of the base! I will continue to upgrade!
    The structure currently building is a wizard tower. The gold mine next to my cannon will be replaced with my air defence soon. Also, this is design better than the pokeball design?

    Its seems pretty easy to get both your storages though. Ill use whatever remaining troops i have left on third. If you had 300k I wouldn't Even hesitate. But I like your seperate of storages.


    1. I suggest spreading out your collectors more. Especially to places you don't expect people to attack from so that their goblins will run to silly places like the corners (the corner's where the two btm ATs are for eg) to get those pesky collectors.

    Hm other than I don't think anything else can be changed. Though DE protection is pretty low too. There's no strong protect for any one storage.

    I would guess most attacks would come from top right. I suggest you to put more traps there, especially those two springs at the bottom. Though i don't see much difficulty to getting both your gold storages. Your gold Isn't well seperated as in the compartment from your outer gold storage to your inner gold storage is just 1/2 WBs away. I can imagine attackers breaching your core easily. I guess the problem would have to be wall structure, but if you plan to keep this structure then I'd also suggest you seperate your collectors to make it harder for goblins to spam into the core. Currently they are placed too close to one another and are positioned at the place attackers would most likely attack from, which is not good. Yep that's it, traps and collector placement and nope sorry, not better than the famous pokeball

    I like this quite a bit, however i see that you are using a vault base. If i were you i would take out the tesla in the middle and get two walls from somewhere and split the core into two pices, other than the it looks very good

    I have just made a new base, and i like it very much, however i would like other ppls thoughts. I call it The Vortex 😎 it is meant to look cool as well as protect my gold and to a lesser extent, my DE. Thoughts?




    Will the troops be sucked into The Vortex never to be heard from again or will they emerge with riches?
