TH8 Best Farming Bases & Clan War Bases

I am trying to make up my mind on which base I should use but I just can't.

What's the best TH8 Farming & Clan War Base in your opinion?

There are many different base designs that work great! I never just stick to one I am constantly adapting new ideas and incorporations.

In my opinion the galaxy base is the best th8 farming base. There are so many good clan wars bases that I'm having trouble picking a best one.

As you may have guessed, the trapception is the number one farming base and a lot of the top 200 players used this when farming through th8. It has been used and approved by over 200,000 players. It is by far the very best around.
NOTE : Use the transformable version with the fixed junctions



Now, for a clan wars base, as you may know, literally everyone attacks with hogs in clan wars. So here's a base that will never let you down.

This base holds up great and is build by the amazing Orz. One of the best th8 players around. With a unlureable clan castle and double giant bombs, it would be a mistake not to use this base.

I'm currently using Shuriken (farming variation 2) for farming (it has much better success than it did during early-th8) and Roundhouse v2.0 Variation 1 for Clan Wars. So far, happy with both.

From my experience as a maxed th8 minus walls, no base will keep you from losing all your stuff to a determined and skilled attacker. Give up on the notion that you'll go days without losing 200k/200k/1k from a TH9 going through your base like butter. From my experience, the better your layout is, the less the unskilled attack you, leaving you for the skilled TH8s or TH9s.

These are decent bases, problem is EVERYONE uses Trapception. Granted, it is good but so many players use it that most are accustomed to knowing how to bring it down which is the problem anytime you use popular bases that everyone knows about. If using it, I would advise you to put your own spin on it (or at the very least change up some trap placement). That way it's not a 100% copy and it might succeed at throwing some people off.

Orz's Tesseract also isn't so great in my opinion. It may succeed against hogs, but it is decimated by drags (another very common war tactic). Last war I watched one of our lowers decimate this base 100% and he was only using lvl 2 drags. The base was also fairly upgraded. The Central CC is nice, but the TH being off center also makes it pretty easy to reach if attacking from the lower left, and 50% isn't too hard to come by either making it almost a guaranteed 2*'s for most attackers.

Then again I suppose it's important to keep in mind that no matter what you do at TH8, if you have loot you will be raided and decimated by TH9/10's regardless. Maxed or not....it really doesn't matter.

For war you just need to decide what kind of attacks you want to protect against the most. If hogs are your primary concern, then a base like Tesseract will do you well... but don't expect it to do well against drags and other strats.

At this stage post update hogs seem to be much less popular. Most clans for war are opting for more GoWipes,WiWi's and mass drag from what I've seen over bacon. Tesserect was a good base pre-update, but now that "lol mass hog everything" doesn't always work so well it's not the superior choice IMHO.

These two bases are my original designs that I have made. The farming base has been 3 starred only once by a maxed TH10 revenge and otherwise if people attack me full out nobody has gotten a star except that revenge. The war base has only been attacked 5 times and out of those 5 times I have won 4 defenses and got 2 starred once. Try these 2 bases out if you like.
