I hope valks get buffed. They really need a level 5 and to heal as they hit like boom beach warriors.
i am upgrading mine right now to level3, but that is only since I have nothing left to upgrade in my lab. I figure I will be ready when they get a buff.![]()

I'm pretty sure that if they were as over powered as the OP suggests than everyone would be using them, much like hogs. They definitely need a buff because they have a super cool design and unique attack which brings many strategies along with it, i hope SC shows them some love soon or they will always remain as an forgotten troop.
But thats just my 2 cents.

They are actually pretty good on defense against TROOPS not defenses but they are TERRIBLE on offense
Valks can actually be good in defense but bad at offense (if in cc)

Why Valks are underated:
1. While they are good at taking out troops, they cannot target air troops and have a ridiculously slow attack speed, their range is also terrible to make them clear off Tier 1 troops no matter if it is offense or defense. They also get killed too fast before they can attack (vs CC troops) and gets distracted if used with other troops (which generally kills the troop she targets before she can attack, making her get caught in a loop keep switching targets without attacking) I tried them up (a lv 4 valk, no less) and they still fail miserably in taking out CC troops, a suicide balloon is much more effective (not to mention much much cheaper).
2. They are too expensive to be used in bunches, and they are severely slowed by walls and generally distracted by most buildings/CC troops in the outer layer to be useful.
3. They do not have enough health to compensate for their extra space than Giants are, with the added fact they are also expensive/much longer to train. This makes them inefficient for farming (because they are cheaper, more effective strategies) and also inefficient for trophy pushing (because they are better, more efficient strategies).
While I agree with the fact that they should not target defenses, SC should increase their attack range to be at least the same as the wall breaker or a Giant Bomb to compensate for their lack of attack speed.
