XP tells us about base growth, strength when attacking and willingness to donate.

TH level is more an indicator of base growth. Willingness to donate is easily established by looking at the Friend in Need accomplishment is more accurate. Just eye balling the barracks is more accurate than looking at xp level.

It's a nearly useless stat. I have artificially raised it by dropping giants in everyone cc when they make a request.
