Rush to TH 7 in 3 weeks with no regret! Should I continue to TH 8?

I would max out your TH7. I did this and have no regrets going into TH8. It makes it so that even when you are fresh into th8, you can still defend pretty well against defenses. It just makes everything short in the long-run. Less upgrades you have to do at th8 or th9. Also, yes, you will be getting raided for all your loot if you rush to th9.

No real point in farming if everytime you put your phone down in between troop making, you get raided for 250k each.

If you want to rush to th9 for max troops, you'll have to go through level 4, and level 5 upgrades anyway, so might as well do all of those while farming in th7 and th8 while maxing out your defenses to lower the number of loot being stolen from you. As for the archer queen, trust me, that should not be the reason you rush to th9. She is good, but you wont even be able to raid for the DE required for her without losing it all. You need strong troops and strong lightning spells if the AQ is your goal. Without maxing those out in previous town halls, you will lose it all the time.

So all in all, max or mostly max your th7, and max your th8.

Heres my prediction if you rush to TH 8:
1) Feel delighted
2) Get whatever building you want immediately
3) Feel bored after a month for the fact that you have been seeing new stuffs every other day since you started CoC
4) Start gemming for whatever you want in order to see new stuffs keep pouring in, maybe even rushing all the way to TH 10
5) Feel pointless about the game and quit

The best player is about how long can they stick with the game, not how fast they can upgrade/farm/raid nor about how good their skill/concept/idea are.


If you know you are going to stick with the game regardless of potentially sticking at TH 8 for 9 months without any fancy new buildings showing up, go ahead and do whatever you want.

As a TH5, your troop lvl is literally exactly my troop lvl. Upgrade.

According to your defense reasoning:

1. I only lose 200-300k each after being attacked. The amount stolen could be very easily replenished. Wait till you are higher, get pwned.
2. Defensive structures take time and resources, which I would rather spend on upgrading army. Better defense, more trophies. More trophies, more loot. Better defense, less resource loss. More resource to spend, spend on army and such.
3. I will be 3-starred anyway. IF your defense is higher it could be a 2 star, 1 star and enough zero star. This statement of cowardice, believe in yourself, don't be like "Oh whatevers I don't care"

You are not thinking long term. It's going to cause pain and regret when it bites you back.

Honestly, I really like maxing everything out, but rushing isn't that bad.

The best thing to do is to build all your new buildings, upgrade all those walls you have to max level, and get your offense to a point where you are comfortable raiding at a higher level.

But seriously... Don't rush to TH 9. Life will hit you like a brick up there.

Thanks I will try. All these upgrades take days to finish, and I only have 4 builders. What's the point of constantly sitting on maxed out resources and not being able to spend them. There is also no point of raiding since I can't store the loots. All I do is wait.

The game becomes boring now..

Excluding teslas and air defense, the longest upgrades are 4 days, others being less, if you have maxed storage for TH7, then have every builder working, max storage (4 mill gold) then every day (or less because most upgrades shorter then 4 days) spend as much as you can on walls, then upgrade a defense, you then have (hopfully) between 6-24 hours to max your storage AGAIN, and repeat, this way, you will be able to raid quite often (more the 4 mill a day) PLUS get tons of walls/upgrades done.

You say you don't care if you get raided 250k+, that was how I felt, because EVERY upgrade, you can get with out saving up, because they are so cheap, I can tell you one thing, if you have a premie TH9, and you don't gem, you WILL NOT be able to get archer queen, by the time you even come close, you will get 3 stared every time you log off, for 2k elixir. Being a premie isn't to bad until TH8. Then it sucks. I'd recommend upgrading all defenses INCLUDING TESLAS, most people forget them, not realizing that at TH7, maxed teslas do same amount of damage as maxed cannons and archer towers, at TH8+ the tesla passes cannon and archer towers up (you can upgrade a tesla 3 times at TH8, and cannons/AT only twice) Just my thoughts, if you do go premie, and quit, make your mines and drills, and collectors, and TH, freebies, REALLY helps ecomoney!

Really appreciate all the comments from the community. I have decided to stay in TH7 for a little while and at least get some decent upgrades going. Farming has been great! I am looking at all deep purple walls + maxed resources (except for dark elixir). Since I skipped lots of defensive upgrades, it would take at least 7-9 weeks for me to max out th7, based on my estimation with 5 constantly working builders.

The pace of the game has slowed down quite a bit. I will try to be patient but we will see

ps. need an more active clan
ps2. should I go DE hunting?
ps3. is it normal to continue farming regardless of full storages?

Enjoy farming in TH 7, ur patience now will pay off in the future
Definitely try to farm DE, get going with BK upgrades, and upgrade ur hogs early (trust me, u can then be the super star of TH 7 with lv 2 hogs roaming premature TH 9 bases)
At least for elixir, you will find urself constantly be full with. Thats normal. Put them outside the walls, help out others who need elixirs meanwhile get urself some defense wins for the achievement.

Mortar level 3 (current level: 2/1/1)
Wizard tower level 2 (current level: 2/1)
Cannon level 6 (current level: 5/3/2/1)
Archer tower level 5 (current level: 5/4/4/1)
Air defense level 1 (what is this)
Wall level 7 (current level: mostly 6, this is where I spend my gold since the upgrade is instant)

Resources:
Gold/elixir storage level 11
Mines/collectors level 6 maybe? (current level: mostly 5, some 2-3 not sure)
