Should I cancel my TH upgrade? (TH8 --> TH9)

The loot penalty is hard as a town hall 9.. I am a new town hall 9 as well and I regret not finishing level 8 walls. If I were you I would hold off on the upgrade and wait till you max your town hall out completely while you can still get good loot on your raids, but in the end it's your choice.

I find it easier to farm gold as a TH 9 than at TH 8, lvl 6 troops, 20 more camp space, AQ makes a huge difference. You are probably in the wrong cup range if you have problems finding loot.

IMHO, you are no where close to ready. Max those defenses! And if you want upgrade traps after you maxed defenses when your Town Hall is upgrading!

NO DONT CANCEL IT. TH8 is definitely, hands down, the WORST town hall to stay at. It may have been easier when Junilang and Pingfao were at TH8, because hogs werent such an easy troop to use. Th8s have next to NO coverage against hogs, why stay there? At least at th9 you have a chance. Once you get to th9 though, upgrade all the things to th8 level first, after you get your xbows. Its not like you have gold walls or anything, thats the only reason I would say to stay but you are doing just fine. People here are just taking "maxing out your base" literally and wont take no for an answer. Guys guess what? im not getting level 9/10 walls before I go to TH10! Are you gonna kill me?

You get level 6 troops, one more spell slot, an archer queen, 20 more space at TH9.
You also get 25 more walls, an extra wizard tower,extra air defense 2 xbows,1 more tesla,level 5 cc, 1 more giant bomb, 2 more seeking air mines at TH9. And not to mention the extra defensive levels, making you even stronger. You get it all at TH9. There is no point staying at th8 that long.
Extra offensive AND defensive power? Why not take it.
