And, honestly, I have seen all those people like you going from town hall 9 to 10 with lv1 xbows and horrible defenses. You know what happens to them when they actually get loot? They get killed by a town hall 9. BOOM! They lose twice as much as they earned. I myself have attacked tons of premmies like you. Just because you upgrade your town hall doesnt mean that you actually will take down hogs. DEFENSES MATTER! Im a lv90 and I have maxed wizard towers, lv7 teslas, lv7 mortars, lv2 xbows and I still cant survive hogs that well. I even have a good antihog base. Being a th9 wont protect you from anything. Just makes town halls below you have a better and more profitable target to take down. NO ONE WILL TAKE YOU INTO YOUR CLAN! NOBODY LIKES PREMATURE PLAYERS WITH HORRIBLE DEFENSES! WALLS DONT MATTER AS MUCH AS DEFENSES. UPGRADE YOUR TOWN HALL WILL ONLY MAKE YOU FEEL REJECTED AND YOU WONT HAVE A GOOD CLAN, ONLY PEOPLE WORSE THAN YOU WHO FEED OFF OF yOUR TROOPS BC THEY SUCK.

I vote cancel. Eventually you'll need to make upgrades in the millions, you'll be eaten alive.

I think you should continue, it isn't hard to upgrade those final defences at th9

if you can have the AQ and the two xbows ASAP. after upgrading to th9.
having xbows (even at level 1) still intimidates attackers.
but be sure to make your trophies low.

as a th9 being attacked full force with storages maxed is really scarce.

it seems i have a plenty of time to explain why he will doing fine in TH9.
- he said that the troops that usually he used for farming is maxed. if he can do storages-raid most of the time, it shouldn't be a big problem even if he using L5 Troops/L3 drags/healer on TH9.
- Splash defenses are maxed out , it will be super effective for barchers/BAM attackers, only if the splash defenses are well-placed.
- Extra 20 spaces, AQ, and Lv6 Farm Troops will give you a big advantage crushing TH8 or another premmie TH9 base as mentioned before.
- If you can play at least one session in 4 hours per day. you will loot more than people can loot you.
- That walls are effective enough to intimidate barch users.
- Farming gold/elixir can be do on Gold 2, but if you're exclusively target de try for gold 1 / crystal 3 1901-2000.
- Upgrading point-defenses will not be a big pain for OP IMO, since it is only takes a bit time, but the cost are low for TH9.

Cons if he keep upgrading to TH9
-he will be a precious target for TH10 attackers, not a big problem if you're active and only breaks your shield when you attacks and online for a long session and/or keep your resources low.
- he will have a pain saving elixir for L6 troops, can be rejected if he has gold storages and TH outsides just for distraction for lower TH attackers, and also give you 12h shield.

So,Grab that TH9, seriously. but at least when you get the TH9 , i advise you to get the AQ asap when your TH9 is ready. i don't think that saving 40k de when you have 80k max capacity of de you will hard to get the AQ. assume that the de storages are lv4. soon after you have AQ you can consider to make X-Bow.

Big deal. None of you guys are gonna pick him off. He has max splash and a level 9 barb king, even if you manage to get something he will destroy you on offense xD

And silver, werent you premmie? Right, you were premmie but it was fine for you because hogs couldnt just decimate your base no matter what. You COULD max out your base with relative ease.
He isnt as premmie as you were too, and he can defend against hogs when he is th9.

Not trying to be "mean" or anything, its not like being premmie is the end of the world. He'll be fine, better yet, he'll be GREAT

I'd suggest cancel. I fully maxed after the December loot change and it was a good call for me.

The thing you need to realize is that you will start spending 750 per attack. Given that you will have to skip all TH7 bases and until your attack is upgraded you will only be able to attack TH8s (too weak to attack remotely decent TH9s) and you will have to raid in gold 2 or gold 3. You will be a prime target for both TH10s and TH9s farming. So you will get raided more and you will have less bases to raid until you get your attack upgraded, and this will take a while, especially given how much you will be raided.

It costs a lot of elixir to get attack up to speed with TH9: you will have 9 levels of DE Drills (28.5M), 4x2.5M for Army Camps, 1.6M for SF, 2.5M for the Lab, let alone the troop upgrades: Barbs, Archers, Giants cost 18M=4.5+7.5+6 adding in Loons gives a neat 24M. Ignoring the Drills (which you should get up really quickly) and the loons, you should expect to spend a smidge over 32M, and including all you should do over 66M! That's to get up to the point where I though cool, lets start upgrading defenses walls and heroes and I'm comfortable attacking TH9 bases.

Without level 10 cannons and ATs you would be raided. Honestly, if I saw you I would view it as an easy 2 or 3 star to keep my trophy count up.

It is easier to raid at TH8 than as an early TH9. I probably have overstated things a little, it certainly was harder for me than at TH8 but not as bad as I expected given that I had read posts like mine. Life was a little easier for me because I had maxed storages while the TH upgrade was going, so I got the AQ, both XBows, and upgraded the lab and one army camp right away. Without these I think the journey would have been much less pleasant.

HE WILL REGRET IT! Believe me. I guarantee you that you will do horribly and have to buy gems to make you balanced. My friend upgraded his town hall (he has loads better defenses but lv9 archer towers and not maxed teslas) to 9 and he did horrible. Another guy in a previous clan quit bc he couldn't find anyone to attack. Dont quit. And i disagree ^^^ he can only get AQ and high lv defenses if he can actually get it. I have been th9 for 15 lvs and i still dont have lv6 arch. But I wasn't premmie at all. (Lv4 teslas, max def)
