We have defeated the Rebels. The Icebear clan has been retaken by Bear forces and is now once more part of the Bear Empire. Your assistance in that matter is no longer needed, thanks.

However, before the war against the Rebels could be successfully brought to a conclusion. two other clans decided to side against us with the Rebel forces. Therefore the Bear Empire is currently at war with Revolution 1776 and The Shield.

I hereby propose that the Built and the Bear Empire sign a Mutual Defence Treaty, whereby an attack on one of our clans is a considered an attack on all of our clans.

Should you be willing to sign this treaty, you will then of course be at war with Revolution 1776 and The Shield. However, I am confident, given your Viking heritage, that you will not shy away from a BRUTAL STRUGGLE FOR SURVIVAL against these warmongering tribes.

If we could have an official treaty written up, i could bring it to my clan to look over and decide so sign.

Cant we just swear a blood oath to attack each other's enemies and then spit on our hands and shake? Then do something like, I don't know, maybe behead a chicken and drinks its blood? Fire a few flaming arrows up into the sky? Get ridiculously drunk and smash tables over each other's heads? Throw a few peasants into a bonfire? I mean, we are Vikings, are we not?

Brother, we have changed a lot. We have great beards down to our chests, but we wear suits (not really, do you know how expensive they are!). We have taken a very "civilized" democratic stance (I use civilized very loosely). We choose to vote on almost everything, and keep records of all bills passed and will keep records of all treaties signed. If you would like, I could make up a blood oath treaty for us (just want something for the records, you know how accountants can be).

There is absolutely nothing wrong with a freedom loving democracy providing everyone does as they are told.

Very well, we await the terms and conditions of the Mutual Defence Pact. No doubt you will require triplicate copies to be signed. So we are eating and drinking well, so as to build up our blood reserves. Don't want to run out of blood when the time comes to apply our signatures.
