Lol im guessing you liked this render from my sig since he really isnt famous... Anyways nice job i'll give you a 2 advice.. First the text is too focused and makes it look like it's the focal, try moving it aside from the render and keep in mind that the render is the main focal. and last make some adjustment layers like,

Add a black and white ajustment and send that layer to Overlay and set the opacity to 30-50

Make a Gradient Map with black and (Sig color) with Overlay with 15-40 Opacity.

Then mess around with, Brightness, Levels, Curves, Vibrance... Untill you get something you like. Trust your instincts.

Last but not least use the dodge tool on the focal and the burn tool on the background.

As for the C4ds, your getting better at them so keep practicing! Avoid using a lot of them tho! You Keep Improving bro!

Thanks for the tips! I've actually used this render before but your tag inspired me to try it again. Last time I was a mega-noob. Only my first week. I don't think I did a great job with the render so I made the text stand out a bit. I used a hefty bit of adjustment layers in that tag actually but they were all at a low opacity like 30-50% so you probably can't see them.

yeah i agree, it does look kinda white washed! maybe take a soft red brush and highlight a few areas etc
