What are you insinuating? The fact that because we had a high score and others did not that the first thing that comes to your mind is that we ♥♥♥♥♥ed? Seems like this goes hand in hand with video game culture now. Especially in a game where you are encouraged to find a handicap(weaker base) and beat it. Once someone is able to surpass what you deem a peak level you want to talk about fairness, like you've been to video game law school and now wear a robe with a throwback atari control gavel in your hand. I like these games they are fun. But when people start questioning integrity for no reason other than because you dont have that ability, it makes me feel like im playing with a bunch of 10 year olds and actually makes it less enjoyable for me. I have this moment burned into my brain: my 9 year old was playing call of duty then he starts screaming wildly. He had been playing combat training (all he ever really knew), which is a mockup multipayer but against computer players. He would set the game to rookie difficulty and and go on a 60win streak. He loved to brag about how he was so amazing. It wasnt long before a friend of his called him out and told him he couldnt do it on real multiplayer. Of course he gets on and with an hour the screaming had started. By the time i had gotten to the room he was sobbing with tears. He explained to me how good he was and he now couldnt kill more than 2 people in a row and the players must be che4t1ng!!!!!! I had to sit there and tell him, they arent ch3@ting boy, your just not as good as them. He couldnt understand it. How could he? Hes had a 60kill streak before! Video games arent quite allowed in my house as much after that .
the point is, farmers remind me of my son. Always playing down to a level as to handicap(make easier) to greater the chances of a win. If u want to get good u need to play against the best, no holds barred, no handicap, take what u get, and own it. Just because you cant do it doesnt mean you have to question if someone was "fair" or not. Sometimes people are just better than you at some things. Life lesson, save it, fold it, stick it in your back pocket.
btw no direction at ITD, just at the one guy, deep thoughts here with my morning coffee, and why not? Because the real news is so dang depressing.
