It has become kind of a drag that every battle in clan wars starts with the process of drawing out clan castle troops and heroes to be easily slaughtered away from the action before the battle really starts. After the castle troops are dispatched most players drop all hogs or all dragons. . . Monotonous to say the least. I have a solution to this problem!
two simple steps:
1) make the attack radius of the clan castle actually a border that the castle troops will not leave. It doesn't make sense that defending troops would run off and leave a well defended base with walls.
2) make the attack radius of the clan castle adjustable. A simple +/- button that increases or decreases the castle radius by one. This way if a player has melee troops in the castle the radius can be reduced so those troops don't run to a position where they would be easily sniped by ranged units.
The biggest benefit of this solution is that you will not have to keep nerfing the hogs due to their exploitation. The best and only way to counter a mass hogs raid is castle troops. This will make players have to be more creative with their attacks while allowing players to experiment with a variety of troops within the castle.
Thanks - love the game.
