Then the final 12 you are able to see enemy bases, but not able to do any more testing on your own.
Then that first 12 hours doesn't even need to take place during clan war time, since it has no association with the opposing enemy clan, do you get what I mean?

I stand by my previous comments as to how this takes away from the competitive nature of what clan wars is.

I really don't think they should change anything in this respect.

In any professional sport for example, you don't have "practice" matches, you just go up against another team and it counts on your season record. This is what makes playoffs so exciting.

This is the nature of competition and it should be no different in clan wars.

obviously you have never heard of a scrimmage before. where teams compete against themselves or another team in order to help each other find their strengths and weaknesses. and I do agree it doesn't have to be at prep day, but they could make it available any time for clan-mates to attack your war base to test its defenses. i just think there needs to be a more active part of prep day. it doesn't take 24 hours to make troops (which you can only make for one attack at a time anyways) nor does it take 24 hours to set up a decent defense. I had posted another option earlier this week that got little recognition where co leads and leads can make notes on the other clans defenses during prep day to help lower levels or just to talk out strategy. instead of each person doing whatever they want. I'm not opposed to people doing whatever, just doesn't seem like there is much point to a clan if no one communicates. now im off topic lol. but yeah to reinstate. practice is what makes people better

unlike a scrimmage, you do not get the luxury of basically replicating your enemy (The Indiana Pacers creating a clone of Lebron James to practice defending against) so your comparison isn't exactly apples to apples.

The 24-hour prep day isn't 24 hours because they expect you to take that full duration to prepare your base and troops, it's to accommodate players from all different time zones within the same clan.

If you're set in your ways that your idea is fool-proof then no one is going to convince you. I'm just stating the cons to your pros.

I understand. I'm not saying your points are invalid nor mine the best. and i understand it is a bit different, but again im not suggesting people should be allowed to see the opponents towns while they are in this "sandbox mode" it can be turned off while in war. i just think it would be a good idea if we could help clan-mates find their perfect base for them. no base if 100% effective. and none will be. but this would allow for clan-mates to find the best protection they can using what they have. and i believe i stated i understand the reasoning for the 24H Prep day. i would just like it to be more useful.

I am sorry if i come off as someone that wont have his mind changed or someone that thinks everything he comes up with is flawless, im really not meaning to. I am trying to evolve my ideas with the input of you guys. and i get a little frustrated when i try to alter it a bit to try and fit the perimeters you suggests and it still gets put down.

I get you, but the fact remains that you are receiving practical and constructive criticism. Not every idea can be a winner, in fact, most of them can't because SC has already thought of them or implemented them.

But it's hard to dispute that what you are suggesting is what many have suggested, which is "sandbox mode".

Maybe they should make a sandbox app. lol even make it cost like 99 cents or something. idk maybe it is just me. i like the idea of making an OP base and then throwing everything i can at it.

well how do you feel about my scout notes idea? http://forum.supercell.net/showthrea...nning-Strategy

I just try and make myself useful around here
