Attacking Gem Boxes??

This idea was suggested by a clan mate of mine (TylerVincentCha) and I thought it was kind of cool. He suggested that if you attack someone with an unopened Gem Box, you should be able to steal it. It would be a rare way to steal gems, and the person being attacked won't lose real money. Please feel free to critique this idea, and if this has been ruled out by Supercell, please tell me.

Imagine this, your device runs out of power, and you run to get the charger, during that 30 seconds, running, on your base, a gem box miraculousy appears, your village gets attacked, and then you try to log on, it tells you have been attacked, and your battle replay says thst YOU have lost 25 gems. What I am trying to say, is it will be cool for you to have, but not for others to have. NO way

you could make it so it could only be stolen after say a week of inactivity or something like that.

This is not a good idea, it would infuriate players.

Sometimes gem boxes are left on bases because no builders are free to remove the box, it's not left there by choice. Admit it, you would be upset if you had no free builders and were waiting for one to become free so you can claim your 25 gems, when you realize someone snatched it up in the last raid. Not cool.

What will this lead to?

Instead of TH sniping, you will have gem box snipers who just keep nexting, looking for gem boxes, which are almost ALWAYS exposed because they only have space to grow on the edges of your base.

Don't you think that this is a trend that SC would not want happening? Raiding 8 bases this way will produce 200 gems, just like that, you don't even have to use a single resource either, just drop your AQ and use her Royal Cloak ability then quit.

Why would SC want to ♥♥♥♥ off players, and give out free gems at the same time?

Just everyone will drop to 0 and find all the inactive bases with gem boxes!!

Well maybe it could be that you could steal 1 Gem Box once a week. That would stop players from stealing every Gem Box they find.
