    [DFT] Double Funnel Trouble™ - A TH8 (Funneling/Splash) Farming Base


    "Melt those giants in your double deck oven..."

    DFT - An anti-mass-giant base guaranteed to work 98% of the time,
    (Even against maxed out giants)


    Introduction

    Hello Forumer! I'm PhoenixFeather and this is the first base design I've posted so wish me luck! Also, I'm from the awesome 24/7 active clan, Forum Striking, where I know everyone here (on the forums) and in Clash (the game itself) If you want to join the Forum Alliance come visit our thread and apply there, we'll be ready for you to come!

    The Base

    Pros and Cons

    Pros
    ► Double Funnels on each side
    ► Funnels are covered by wizard towers for more melting power (combined with giant bombs)
    ► Outside cannons stop traps from being tested
    ► Centralized Clan Castle= Unlurable troops (Fill the cc with wizards or maybe even archers)
    ► Staggered Junctions w/ extra walls makes giants and wallbreakers go away from where the enemy wants to
    ► You can move around teslas and giant bombs to fir your needs. (ex. Double funnels or 1 funnel for giants and one for Barbarians, Archers, and Goblins.

    Cons
    ► Exposed Air Defences makes the base weak if your CC is empty.
    ► Not all sides are covered by wizard
    ► One exposed storage (not including LV5 ones) (Troops will be wasted trying to get one storage)

    How it Works



    ​On all 4 sides, there are 2 compartments with funnels. The defenses in them are covered by wizard towers so that giants have more time to get melted while they die faster.

    Also, those walls aren't supposed to be "Double Walls" Instead, they act as a type of funnel that makes it so giants can break open a wall, but it only goes to 1 compartment, not 2.

    Double walls literally do nothing
    -Exposed air defenses will make you a giant healer target
    -at th8, mortars are you best friends, and yours are wayy to exposed.

    - Those aren't meant to be double walls
    - If you saw the replay of that one pic I had, the enemy's healers didn't help at all.
    - Every mortar covers 2 Double Funnels, no need to worry.

    I like the base and the position of the traps but where do you put your thirds storages?

    They're not compulsory at TH8.

    The guy didn't even lure clan castle, a well executed giant healer would have.
    1 giant, followed by two wall breakers will break into the archer/mortar compartment, and then your mortar is gone.

    Take out the double walls and use them for protecting you elixir/your gold storage. At th8, elixer is pretty important till you're about maxed.
