Ok , so we know how hard it is to obtain the maps for our new town .
Today I finally got my first one���������� I was sooooo happy .

Then after reading Shealie's thread, saying they seemed to be coming a little faster as she was moving up through lv4 , it gave me hope��.
Just over an hour ago I had 2 customers coming out of the diner.
The first one gifted me a bolt plus another one as a bonus = 2 bolts.
The second customer gifted me a MAP ������ plus another one as a bonus = 2 maps
Excellent , I thought , that makes 3 maps in total ..... Only a couple more & I can expand one plot in my town .

You can imagine how gutted I felt when I was checking my barn & noticed that there were only 2 maps there ����
As I wasn't sure how many bolts I already had in my barn, I don't even know if I got the bonus one or not.

So where has it gone ??

I didn't use one to upgrade anything ( in fact I think you can only use them for expanding plots), I haven't & wouldn't sell them , and my barn had enough space to store it .
And I very much doubt d2l5p2 hopped off her PT & nicked it , like she does my customers����

So the purpose of this thread is to bring it to your attention .Keep an eye on your gifts & make sure you get the correct amount ��

The picture of the item with the word "bonus" that floats up to the top of the screen is not an extra reward. It is merely the animation of the reward the visitor gave you "travelling" to your barn.

I'm not happy that I gave my precious jam, cream, cheese's to my first 3 customers only to get 1 nail, 1 plank from each of the other two. have so many of these and thought that TEMs would be given in new area. I'm not interested in BemS and Lems as there is so many new items needed in town and the wait between customers is so long it should be only TEMs you get in the town as you can get the other items in other area.

When you level up to level 3 in the town, you get a congratulations and it looks like a map piece. However, you are NOT receiving a map piece -- it is just telling you that you now have them available to you. I know that several of my neighbors were confused on this and thought they got a map piece for leveling up --- and then didn't see it in the barn.

Not sure if that's where you thought you got the first map piece but thought I'd mention it as it confused some people in our NH.

WELL. How RUDE. I only have two! Of course, now that makes me wonder if I really saw a third one gifted to me at 4:30 a.m. HMPH!!! Since I can't swear to it I can only say I'll be more vigilant when it comes to my precious maps. This is terrible that you've lost yours!

I have a question - you say a visitor gave you one and then you got one as a bonus. How's that possible? What is the "bonus?" I've seen other people say the same thing. I thought we all only got the one gift and the word "bonus" floats up beside it.

And if it makes you feel any better, I guess I jinxed myself because ever since I posted about my six TEMs all in a row, I've received an AXE and a LAND DEED. That is WRONG WRONG WRONG. OK, at least a land deed is somewhat desirable even though I harvest them all the time on my farm, but an AXE?!??? That's just plain insulting. SC really needs to address this issue. As I see it, if we harvested things in our towns the way we do on our farms, the playing field would be leveled a bit, but we don't. The ONLY way to get a chance at receiving a desperately needed TEM is to serve up premium items (that often took hours to make) and then wait hours for the final result in the hope that a TEM is gifted. I've never complained about the wait time as I think they all blend with each other perfectly, but these EM and especially non-EM tools have got to GO. Axes and saws as "gifts" have no place in this town.

Just my two cents, but by golly it was a hard-fought, hard-won two cents with all the tax and other rubbish that goes along with it.

I could be wrong, but I think when you click on your visitor when he comes out of the building he says something to the effect of "here's a little something for you"...it's a mallet or whatever but you only get one. Then when your coins, rep, exp go flying away a little graphic shows the mallet or whatever and it says BONUS. I believe it means that the one you got was a bonus. Not that you got one PLUS a Bonus. So you only get ONE extra thing, not two.

I am pretty sure it means that the expansion material (whether it be LEM, BEM, TEM or sem) is the bonus not that you are getting one and then a bonus one - getting the EM itself is the bonus prize as opposed to the coins and reputation which you will get whether you get a bonus EM or not.

I just saw this too in my town and thought it was an extra. Because I read what happened to you, I went to check in my barn and had 2 instead of three. Yeah, when I think about it, the first time you tap and the visitor with the gift it shows a map without numbers, then when you tap again the XPs, coins and +1EMimage go flying up. I wish SC could confirm this.
