Need thoughts or ideas on a war schedule

My clan is debating about our war schedule. What we first agreed to was the first Tuesday of the season then every Friday, which results in 3 wars a season. Some players want to war more often, others want less often. This season we got a really really easy victory for one of our wars, we won 109-14, and though the loot was really good members felt c#eated because they wanted an actual fight. So now we are having an extra war and will probably end up with 4 wars this season, which I think is way too much. Here is my argument for why it is too often.

    1. Its expensive
The leaders spend a lot making wizards and dragons for war castles and donates and we rarely if ever get 100% back of what we spend. I don't mind eating some of the cost and we usually spread it around to make it easier. I think it is fun and the clan enjoys it, but i usually have to stockpile a day or so to have enough to pay for war and still work on my base like normal.

    2. It stops my game play.
My army camps stay full for longer periods because it takes most of the night to make enough wizards and dragons to go around. So when my camps are full and my barracks are training war troops I can't attack like normal so I lose a day or so slowing down progress of the game

    3. Too much leads to poor performance
Right now since members want to fight they usually do a good job. If we keep them "hungry" for war when we actually fight I think we have a better turn out. If we fight too much the more gung-ho players become slightly less gung-ho and the ones that don't like to fight as much lose interest almost all together which hurts the clan overall.

    4. No time off
I need a break from feeling pressured to fight all the time. If we start a war I am going to attack because I am one of the leaders and I want the clan to be successful and to set a good example. It's not like I neglect my family or work or anything, but this game can take a lot of your time if you let it and I don't want to feel that pressure.

So I said all of that to ask if any people have any ideas on how to satisfy everyone or compromise in some way. Maybe do a 3 days on 3 days off kind of deal? Just fight on weekends and let others that want to fight more start a sister clan just for war? Any ideas thoughts or comments are appreciated.

Have people that don't want to, or can't for that session, go to war use the Opt Out button.

On darn... they refuse to add that feature no matter how much it is requested.

My current clan wars every friday (Saturday my time) and I find it works well. Everyone knows when the war will be held and doesn't really disrupt regular attacking/farming.

I think it is good to have consistency so people know when to get on and donate/attack.
    We opted for:
Thursday afternoon start so that Friday evening and Saturday were the war.
Then a Saturday afternoon start so that Sunday afternoon/evening was war #2.
If it gets too late Saturday we don't start the second war, though.

We declare 2 wars per week. Tuesday evening and Friday evening.

    Always the same time.

It cost me around 400k to fill the castle each war. If we win, I usually make that. But for DE, I'm way behind.

3 wars per week, I was losing DE each week.

People say it's only two attacks, but switching from farming army/spell to war army/spell takes me almost a full day to recover.

But I'm almost maxed so it's not that big a deal for me. But twice a week is plenty for me, even more now that we win about 50% of our wars.

Yep, two a week has been working for us as well. Prep days Tuesday and Friday. This leaves give us a nice break after the weekend and frees up sunday for me to relax and do clan admin.

I understand the cost and time lost however. It eats into my raiding time to fill CCs and the armies are different. For me it isn't so bad, though. Battle day starts my morning, so I do an army overnight and during the day while at work. Planning always helps. Cost... meh... I can spare the lix and DE if it means everyone has fun. I also have a very supportive clan who do a lot of donating for everyone.

If you want a break, drop to sub-200 and get out of the war. It worked for me when I went down there, but I eventually came back up due to the members leaving over it.

The only two options we came up with in my clan were:
    a) people who don't want to war to drop to the bottom of the list ( not practical as for some its quite a drop) and you need a number not divisible by 5
    b) those who don't want to war to leave immediately before the war starts and join back straight away (not ideal as we have people spread all over the globe.

As for our clan well... eventually people started to realise that it would mean their elixir and DE depleting rather rapidly and so consensus was reached that once a week on the weekend was fine. not that people could do anything about it as I was the only person able to start a war.
